Bortles pro day

#1

Really curious to see how does tmrrw. Him having a good day could lead to Texans takung him and Clowney falling to us. Or Dave could have him rated as the top qb on his board and he could fall to us.

I'm predicting he looks as bad as Bridgewater.  Bortles is all hype and his water pistol arm and horrible throwing mechanics will be exposed.  This guy routinely overthrew wide open receivers.

Both statements are completely wrong first of all, but 'water pistol arm' and 'routinely ovethrew wide open receivers' sure is a funny bit of contradiction.

Bortles showed good arm strength and mechanics at the combine.  Manziel sucks bro.

Bridgewater and Manziel are the guys you want if you're looking for a QB at #3. Bortles isn't worth that. He's a good player, but not the type of once in a generation, franchise QB that Jaguars should give their highest ever pick for a quarterback to. His pro-day will mean very little to us IMO.

Average pro-day for Bridgewater didn't change my opinion on him, and not even a superman-esque pro-day for Bortles won't change my opinion on him either. I'd take all the Mccarrons, Murrays, Mettenbergers, Garapalos, etc, etc, in the 3rd round and later, before ever giving the #3 pick to an above average QB from UCF.

I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

No QB in this class is worth #3 pick, any of them taken in the top 10 would be a reach, and a HUGE reach in the top 5 IMO.

If we trade down then yes Bridgewater and Manziel are the guys you want if you're looking for a QB in the 1st round. My personal preference would be landing Manziel, but Bridgewater would have to be the first choice as he is less of a risk and is more pro-ready (though I like the risk/reward factor Manziel brings)

And BTW I don't expect Johnny Football to have an amazing pro day either.....

I can agree with that somewhat, but teams that have been literally waiting(starving really) for a even an adequate franchise QB at its helm, like us and the Browns, make these guys top 5 picks IMO, whether they themselves deserve it or not.

I'll keep that bet with you  I think his pro-day will be the talk of the town.

More like Kolb.

Did I miss his proday?

What time is it?

I rolled on the floor laughing, With all those missed reads in the pocket Manziel had to improvise. If he had just stuck to the play book (or just be Teddy Bridgewater) A&M would have been in the National Title hunt late

I don't think Tannehill has done bad considering the toxic environment he plays in.

Last I heard bortles starts throwing around 2:00...that link Jagstilltheend gave should be a good spot for much of the action

We will see next week. I personally am more excited about Gruden's QB camp (which I believe airs the same night as Johnny's pro day), than I am about any pro day performances or lack there of.

But that's just me...

This is not such a big event like the Bridgewater Pro day since Bortles did everything at the Combine already. Manziel's will be kinda big since he didn't throw at the Combine either.
