When they have no time, they think about it!
When they go down hard, they think about it! Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Nor do I. I've made that assertion more than once. However, odds are pretty good that the team is going to be looking at one of the 3. That being said, I'd be more inclined to trade down a few spots and grab a guy like Bortles. He's not waif thin like Bridgewater, and he's not a munchkin like Manziel. He looks like he'd be someone who could be developed. I am a fan of Manziel, but even I can see he is not one to take at #3. I would be happy if he ended up on the team, but I would also be very disappointed if we took him #3 overall. If we manage to trade down then I will be behind whomever the FO deems worthy of being the QB to groom for the future, regardless though I think all three would do well to sit at least a year and maybe even two before becoming a full time starter.

They all get picked apart when there is not a Luck type canidate.
And it will be intresting to see how Johnny Football does, he could light it up where TB and BB did not. But then it still is an underwear drill on favorable territory. It will be neat to see how tier two does. I'd be in favor of a more lifelike drill with a DE looping around the end. Headslap

Quote:If he can improve his movement back there, he does have a cannon!Literally the only thing that scares me about carr is his suspect pocket presence. If you could fuse Carr and Bridgewater, I would say you have the "GUY"

Overall I think Bortles was very mediocre. He only completed 38 of 47 passes and looked gassed. He doesn't have a vertical arm at all. His deep passes really sailed and hung for a long time. His ball still has some wobble to it. Pro days are set up for QBs to impress and go 61 for 62 so this is definitely a red flag for me and I question his accuracy. I don't think he is worth a top 10 pick.

Bortles' Baylor tape wasn't very good at all. 2 of his 3 TDs came off screen passes that went about 30 yards each. Threw into tight coverage a ton and got bailed out a few times by Baylor pass interference.
You could see he has potential though. A couple really nice plays.

His greatest claim to and rise to fame came not on a football field, but in the measurables over the last few months off the field.
I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

I watched every throw of both of em, and I am bewildered as to how anyone could say Teddy was subpar and average at best, while Jaws and McShay slobber over what Bortles just did. Neither one was sharp. I would grade them both as 6/10.
Former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski of ESPN graded Bortles' pro day on a scale of 1-10.
"I give him a 10," Jaworski said. "I think he smelled a little blood in the water considering (Louisville quarterback Teddy) Bridgewater had a subpar day. "He was well prepared and did everything right." We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski of ESPN graded Bortles' pro day on a scale of 1-10.Hard to call it a 10. Maybe a low 7,a little ahead of Bridgewater but to say he blew him away? I dont see it!
I'm sorry, but I just watched Bridgewater's tape against Miami again and nobody can tell me otherwise that's he's not the best QB in this draft.
I know it's just one game and I know it's Miami, but wow he made all the throws within the system they run and also made a few BEAUTIFUL plays that not many can make. Bridge all day.
