The way he's acting now is similar to how he acted on his way out with the Raiders. It's not all his fault. BUT, just like that pick six he threw last night, he's almost becoming notorious for that mistake weekly. I even said that in the earlier threads about this game. You just wait on him to make his mistake because you KNOW it's coming. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Personally I like them writing us off and overlooking us. Just gives this team a bigger chip on their shoulder. Saw the DTWD site have a great t-shirt. And I completely get it. I've got excited for Leftwich, thought Del Rio would be the guy, thought Gus would be a new dawn, got excited for Bortles, excited for Foles, thought 2018 was a SB year (especially after beating the Pats), thought Coughlin would sort the franchise out. Its been a damn rough ride. I get that feeling that it's all going to blow up. But this current team is different. The culture, the attitude, the teamwork. Yes we have to make every game tough and go full cardiac cats but they know how to find ways to win and have a never say die attitude. It's just great to finally see a Jags team playing good, smart football. There's been so many years of soul destroying Sundays. We show less advertisements to registered users. I was so ready to write the organisation off after London and the Denver fiasco last year. They brought me back from the edge and as long as Pug Deterson is the coach and Trevor is behind center I refuse to panic. Never a doubt last night for me. Even had the Saints scored the Jags would have pulled it out in OT or flat out stopped them going for 2.

Even when everything is going in the other teams favor, I still think this team can make that one play or one drive to get the W. You look back at the start of last year and we were in games for 3 Q's and would then make a few mistakes that kill us and that's game. Then the Raiders game where we stunk 1st half and had Adams destroying us but 2nd half they turned it around and this team stopped making the mistakes and started making the game winning plays and it just kept going. Just amazing to see how quickly things can turn when you stop beating yourself. (10-20-2023, 07:09 PM)JagFan81 Wrote:(10-20-2023, 06:59 PM)copycat Wrote: All true. Maybe Press can draw up a pout route for Ridley.
It’s panic time. ![]() (10-21-2023, 08:31 AM)Newton Wrote:(10-21-2023, 08:23 AM)Cleatwood Wrote: https://twitter.com/thomascp_nfl/status/...915L-t18Xg yeah I don't get it. They used him as a decoy most of the game because he drew double coverage or safety over the top. Opened up underneath stuff. He did his job. I was ticked at the focus on Agnew but he had single coverage. If Zay was playing it would have been different. Also correct me if I am wrong, did Lawrence practice on the short week? Game plan - Get it out quick - Don't take hits - Take the rest before the Steelers game. I saw Ridley in the slot. Coincidence that Kirk scored the touchdown from the slot? We won.

That said, hoping we can get Ridley going soon. Adding his threat will open up the offense We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! He only took 2 maybe 3 snaps from the slot - Kirk was there 95% of the time. Kirk's TD looks like it largely had to do with the other receivers pulling defenders deep and leaving him room to cook underneath/ get a head of steam with downfield blockers ready to do work. Game plan was definitely as you describe it. They went out of their way to keep Trevor clean with quick hitters. The ironic bit is that he ended up calling his own number and running. LOL Ridley is great. He's going to have some big games this year. He'll have some better matchups and face some lesser game plans. I doubt he's being a diva about that game as some have theorized. If he is he'll get over it quick. He has literally said in multiple pressers that he doesn't care about his stat line - just wins. It was a bit of correlation vs causation bias on my part. The focused video clip drew me to the few instances where Ridley worked the slot. Either way nice game plan and it is really nice that these are games that produce wins for us versus where we were pre-Trevor.

Now, tell me what is rational about that line of thinking. Heck Reason? Well since NO ONE really knew what exactly was wrong and the extent of TL's boo-boo how could anyone have a reason ?
