He had a good game in bad conditions unlike the game against Philly last year, so that was good. The pick was n the endzone was a bad play, but all in all, good game.

Yep One bad decision and good ball security otherwise He'll cone back focused after the bye and we'll trending up at the right time Little at LG and Zay running routes is going to boost us (10-29-2023, 04:38 PM)NYC4jags Wrote:(10-29-2023, 04:33 PM)Eye of the Storm Wrote: He had a good game in bad conditions unlike the game against Philly last year, so that was good. It was a weird throw but his footwork and throwing motion looked completely off, not sure if it was just a bad mistake or was trying to throw it away. It happens and he's shown he learns from his bad plays. Be good for him and the O to have a week off, get healed up, work on some things and come out firing 2nd half of the season.

I mean, no matter how you parse it, Trevor Lawrence is top 5 QB in the NFL.
What more do you want? Does he make mistakes? Yeah. So what? He's in his 3rd year, and he's leading an offense with suspect O-Line and suspect play-calling. What more can we ask for. You pay Trevor what he wants, you give Trevor a % ownership. And you hope to god he can stay focused enough to play for another 18 years. Trevor Lawrence is great. Great players make mistakes. Trevor Lawrence isn't GOAT. But I don't care. There are only so many GOATS. I just want 18 more years of this and a SB or two... For a franchise as trash as ours to finally figure it out, what more can you ask for? It looked like he was trying to throw it out of the endzone but had no drive on ball since he threw it off of his back foot. If that is not hat he was doing then 100 slaps with a wet noodle.

Why is this thread still open? We already settled on him being the franchise QB.

Many of these threads are just open so that people can rub noses into the dirt about takes that aged badly. Those that hated on Lawrence aren't here anymore. This thread should be killed out for other more interesting topics. But that's just my opinion. What the heck do I know?
It’s probably close to time to close it. Something similar will eventually get posted though, lol.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

My goodness we have a string with a positive title. My take is when peeps stop posting to it it will fall down the list. But then there are the negative nannies that feel the need to censure things they don't like...LOL (not you Marley)

I've watched Mixon destroy our D for the last 5 years. And he's destryoing other D to this day. Mixon was Drafted in 2017. That's freaking 6 years of great production with no sign of slowing down. I think ETN is right in that caliber, maybe even better. All I'm saying is that you gotta respect your best players. ETN is one of our best players. I just hope we don't treat ETN like the Giants treated Barkley, or how the clots treated Taylor. Or how the Vikings treated their dude (forget his name). Pay ETN, give him a 2nd contract that he's happy with and let's have a legit RB for another 5 years. When you see how other RBs really are, it's clear that the Elite RBs are worth the money.

Waaayyyyyy to far ahead to make the decision on if we should pay him or not. We can let him play on his 5th year option and tag him twice and then make the decision if we want. Just have to let it play out at least 2 or 3 more years and then make the decision. Vikings absolutely made the right decision on Cook remains to be seen on Barkley and Taylor. |
