This is arguably the best team in the league when healthy. What I was trying to say before the game. Nothing wrong with being optimistic but one can be realistic at the same time (11-12-2023, 04:27 PM)Protozoa Wrote: Lawrence just has no time. By the time someone gets open he has to try and dodge like 3 guys. He’s under pressure but he has held onto the ball too long on occasion as well. He’s very conscious of not throwing a pick but that’s leading to sacks.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

There are a lot of issues here, how can you fix it during the season? You can’t. Best you can do is focus on cleaning up the mistakes and reducing the turnovers. At this point with the Oline I'd just find something they can do to build a gameplan around. I'm not sure what that is but Lawrence is getting killed back there and the whole O is playing badly.
Crazy how some of you have the all-22 coverage already.
I'd wager that the receivers were not open because Trevor is trying to hold until the last moment to try and make a play. But if it's not there, it's not there.

This offense hasn't looked "elite" all season but the team was playing cupcakes and was able to win anyway. (Minus the Bills, for whatever reason.).
Now that they played a real contender and the offense with all the draft picks and money they've spent faltered, again, but couldn't overcome, it'll be interesting to see if anything changes next week. Some people are saying this game exposes the Jags as frauds. I'm more interested in seeing how the offense looks after they couldn't overcome their overwhelming unimpressiveness. If they continue faltering, it'll definitely be a fools gold season. But if this game causes the team to look in the mirror, like TLaw said he did last year, and demand better--and then achieve "better," this game might be what a young team needs. Either way, we'll see just what this young team and its coaching staff is made of after this debacle.
