Blake Bortles Qb Ucf

Quote:So, if the Jags take Bridgewater, it's a stupid selection and Dave Caldwell is stupid, right?

So, if Bridgewater doesn't go first overall, that means you're stupid right?

You know....since you swore up and down he would be the first player taken and lol'd at anyone who disagreed. Remember: Luck, Manning, Aikman, Teddy...

If we were to take Ted at #3, I'd have to check myself for the stupid.

You just said up there in response to another poster regarding selecting Teddy at 3 that "I doubt these guys are that stupid". Your words. So, not sure how your insulting remark back at me makes any sense.

Either you believe we'd be stupid for taking Bridgewater at 3 or not.

So Caldwell and the Jags are stupid if they dont take Teddy at 3?

The Texans also would be stupid to take Bortles at 1 because its simply poor value. People say things like Bridgewater isn't worthy of that pick and Bortles is even less so. If the Texans want Blake, they can trade down and likely still get him.

I think Teddy's a better QB than Bortles. Higher upside, and higher floor. Thus -any- QB needy team that passes on Teddy would be foolish.

As another poster said...."QB pro days" are practically worthless. Its playing "catch" with uncovered WR's....

oh ok, Gabbert to Blackmon can still be Aikman to Irvin if 49ers some how get Blackmon

Which is why there's simply NO REASON he shouldn't have aced it, as guys like Jamarcus Russell and Gabbert did.

So easy, even a caveman could understand this.

The shallowness of his intellect is quite astounding.

I agree.

Doesn't mean it matters.

Mike Mayock said Jamarcus Russell had the best pro day he'd ever seen. I think these underwear practices mean very little in the grand scheme of things, and that's whether they were decent, good, or great.

I just thought I would go back in time and give this old thread a bump.

Take a few minutes and read through some of the old pre draft posts about our very own BB5.

There is some good stuff in there and of course some "shake your head" posts in there also.

There sure is a lot of Teddy Bridgewater to the Jags posts in there, along with a few Johhny football ones..

I am looking for another thread on BB5 I remember seeing.

I just thought I would give this old "Bortles, the best?" thread a little bump into the present day so those of you who are interested can go back and look at a few early opinions of our very own BB5.

Enjoy.

There's another one I'm still looking for.

Reading through these old threads can be very entertaining.

It was sealed with a handshake. BB5 was to become a Jaguar.

P.S. Enjoy the classic TMD in this thread.

Quote:I think Bortles can be successful in the NFL as long as he plays for a good team that can take advantage of his game manager skill set. He will be best off getting drafted by a team with a good vet starting so he can learn and take over. I wish I could put him on the Vikings right now.

How ironic and hilarious.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
