No [BLEEP] sherlock, it was egregious and completely changed the complexion of the game and everyone but delusional tinhorn fans knew it. The solution under current rules is unofficially ref make-up calls to the extent that the ref as a human being feels guilty enough about a bad call/no call to take action to try to even the situation. The real solution is bad calls/no calls should be reviewable in some fashion. Perhaps all turnovers should get a booth review or be challengeable with egregious penalties able to be assigned after the fact. I don't know what the solution is, but that [BLEEP] can't be allowed to happen. I will say that our fans criticizing the announcers for being pro tinhorn are off base just as tinhorn fans are off base saying they were cheering for the Jags. The play-by-play guy's job is to make the game sound exciting. They're gonna get up for big plays more so by teams playing from behind because close games are more exciting than blow outs. If you want a homer announcing crew, go tune in to marble mouth Frangie. Bottom line is, if you didn't look at the score, the Jags largely dominated the tinhorns today. The Jaguars are now 8-3. It's pretty impressive considering their schedule. If you exclude games against the Jaguars, our opponents would have the following records:
7-3 7-3 7-3 6-3 6-3 6-5 5-4 5-4 5-5 5-5 4-6 Wow. (11-27-2023, 12:23 AM)TheDuke007 Wrote: The Jaguars are now 8-3. It's pretty impressive considering their schedule. I don't know if it was the same ref who missed the call when the Texans held Engram, but there were two phantom holding calls on the Texans where the defender barely touched our guy.

That’s how bad the initial no call was though. Instead of us being at the outskirts of FG range with a 1st and 10 and very likely to go up 2 scores, they were instead granted the ball with a 1st and 10 at our 45 and were able to score and take the lead. Its a major swing and turn of events that the refs were responsible for. Marching us down for the follow up score doesn’t by itself erase the damage done.

We thought it light with the NFCS and our division, the latter turning out to not be the case as both the clots and tinhorns are better than expected, BUT we went 3-1 against them. Just an oddity on the books I think. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

We have a fairly easy remaining schedule in our final 6 games. 4 are against teams with losing records and another is against a team that has lost their starting quarterback. The Ravens are the one big exception, but at least we get to play them at home. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! And this is why strength of schedule is a meaningless stat at the start of the season. Only makes any sense for played games in the current season.
The Jags need to keep stacking wins. Hopefully the chiefs, dolphins, and ravens lose.
