Cleveland played tackle in college and we have Hance and Cole Van Lanen who both have played some tackle - until Cam is ready again. Not ideal depth - but may only need to get us through a few weeks. I have seldom seen this kid get beat in pass protection and, again, not sure how bad his shoulder injury is but I would imagine a full off season with it being rested won't hurt in 2024. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Cam went down early in the 2nd quarter (If memory serves me), and then we shifted Little and Cleveland. And the O-Line didn't miss a beat. Dude our O-Line is not the issue. Trevor was clean all day. You gotta give it up to how well our Line played. I'd love to see how this O-Line would do against SF... Let's GOOOOOO!!! We show less advertisements to registered users. For the past two weeks anyway. We’ll see how well that continues moving forward.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Hopefully cam is not lost for the season, but the current o-line looked great yesterday..

The OLine has played great the last 2 weeks. They were horrible before that. Don't get me wrong, we got absolutely rocked against the 49ers. But every team did! Including the Steelers, Rams, and Cowboys... All I'm saying is that our O-Line has actually given good protection to Trevor Lawrence over the last 6 games (If you exclude the 49ers Game). It's not that the O-Line was suspect, but that our play calling was forcing quick reads instead of letting plays develop. Our O-Line has been looking good for several games. That's why we are 8-3. And honestly, we finally let Trevor go deep against Houston. Dude, it's time to open up the play book. Press Taylor needs to get his [BLEEP] together and let this offense go. The O-Line is capable of protecting Lawrence long enough for him to stretch the feild. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
It was good to see Harrison looked much better in pass pro this week. Hopefully he starts to improve his run blocking.

Lawrence has been sacked 25 times for Pete's sake. Try to post something that aligns with actual events occasionally. 7 of eleven games have seen our QB pressured on 19% of his attempts or more. For reference - Tua - one of the few QBs with a low pocket time like Lawrence (sub 2.3) - has faced an over 19% pressure rate in only 2 games this year. I think you’re just a classic contrarian. “Jags OLine is bad” “No it’s not! Jags OLine has been good!” Nothing wrong with it but unless you have facts to back up your statement that the Oline hasn’t been bad before the last 2 weeks…..

Kelce at Center. This is what the team lacks inside the middle. Snap and go. Snap and attack. Fortner might turn it around at some point but he has to master assignments and situational awareness before he can truly master strength and leverage. I just haven't seen it with him. They really need to consider going after Biadasz if Dallas lets him walk or Van Pran and Frazier in the draft. Fortner should be moved to RG to replace Scherff at some point. A lot of the teams we've fared well against are not strong along the DLine. I still believe that a lot of the quick-release stuff was a symptom of both trying to keep Trevor from further contact on a sore knee and the fact that Bartch/Shatley were not up to the task at LG, and then we had Little trying to learn yet another position along the line. The Oline is ok. It's not the reason we are winning or have won, but giving Trevor time to allow a long play to develop will help him to play to his potential. For far too long he was hurried into checkdowns or quick passes that weren't going to make the highlight reel. I think the current lineup gives us the best chance to succeed. Hopefully they can all stay healthy for the remainder of the year, because we've seen the reserves, and it ain't good. He has not complained, griped or throw teammates under the bus. I am sure he could have pushed the envelope a little more holding the ball at times to let the deeper routes develop. Then again he could feed his ego and be out like Joe Burrow. Instead he takes what is there in the time allowed. Stroud is a rookie looking to impress. He has an ability to run around and make off schedule plays. He tried that at the end of the game last Sunday and cost his team a FG to tie the game. Show me where that is in the PFF score?

Regardless of how the stripes performed. You had a chance at the very end to at least tie it and go into OT to beat us potentially. You cannot take a sack there. It's the most commonly thrown around phrase in this spot in those exact moments. Even in the college ranks. "Get rid of the football quickly if it's not there deep, but, DO NOT take a sack here with a FG being in range". Special teams was pretty bad for them on Sunday. 0/2 on FGA's. 4 punts with only 2 of them ending up inside the 20. I don't think they had any kick returns or punt returns for positive gains at all. At least Washington made a little move and picked some yards up on one punt return. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Jeff Lageman just now on the radio, when asked what the starting line-up would be on the line going into January:
"Cleveland at LG. After 1 game. The energy and effort on the screen play. He's the best LG on the team". He gives the nod to Robinson over Little due to attitude, approach and edge in Robinson's favor. He said they're "equal" though. Cam gives you something that Walker can't. But, he said, which is funny to me, that, if we're down and we need time in the pocket and Lawrence needs time to make plays downfield? Little is better. Cam is better when you're up and you can grind out the clock. LOL. I don't know. You just said Little is your best pass blocker at LT and you would rather start Cam instead? In a pass happy offense? Interesting take. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. I want to see them run more on the left side as well if Cleveland is that capable of getting downfield.
