Who would you select here?

Lets say TB gave us a king's ransom for Clowney here because they get in a bidding war with another team. They give us their 1st round pick, their 2nd round pick, and a 2nd round pick next year. Our front office decides that there is no QB that is worth it at that pick
Houston - Bortles STL - Watkins TB (via Jax) - Clowney CLE - Robinson OAK - Mack ATL - Matthews JAX (via TB) - ? In this scenario, since we do not believe there is a QB that was worth it at 3, we would be very unlikely to take one here. With that in mind, what non-QB would be the best pick here? Two people that I would think would be a possibility is Eric Ebron or Justin Gilbert. Both fill a need and would make a definite impact on our team. It seems kind of an awkward spot. With the 7th overall selection I'd take Mike Evans at WR to help out Henne for the time being. We lack a big, overbearing presence at WR on this team, and Evans fits that perfectly. He's a big guy, pretty quick, good hands, good leaping ability. He'll win some contests for you.
With an extra 2ND round pick to play with, we could do so much with that. We could package those up and probably jump up to get a QB at the bottom of RD1, or sit tight and get the QB in RD2, take another LB/DE somewhere. I really like this scenario, it's hard to think straight, LOL. You would basically give us 12 picks in this year's draft, plus an extra pick for next year. Too much thinking man! ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. I wouldnt mind Gilbert but i wonder about Barr still, Id feel okay with taking him out of the top 5. Either way i love the picks but at the same time i hate that we missed out on watkins, clowney, mack

I would love a trade down but why would a team try and trade with us if they know wenwouldnwwnt Clowney? Wouldn't they try and jump us?

If we're working on the assumption that they don't want Bridgewater, I'd take Gilbert.
Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
I'd lean towards Anthony Barr but Aaron Donald would garner heavy consideration.

Quote:LOL. Not at 7. If you like Bridgewater, you don't trade out of #3 to select him at #7. That's something to LOL at.
in before JC's Lewan
seriously though, it would be Bridgewater for me and I wouldn't even risk trading down Quote:If you like Bridgewater, you don't trade out of #3 to select him at #7.Exactly. I mentioned that in the OP as well. If they are big on Bridgewater, they take unplug their phone, run to the podium, and take him at 3.
Well this is one weird scenario
But if it goes down like this you take Barr no doubt his draft stock has been plummeting but i would take that chance Also Gilbert is a really interesting pick here too. Quote:There is better players at 3 than Bridgewater, dippy. If you think your QB is even top 10 worthy, and you have the 3rd pick, and you have a huge need at QB, that IS value. If you deem him the QB of your future, he is worthy of the 3rd pick and presents good value.
