I see neither of you realize how a draft board in the NFL works. Cool. Quote:I think Bridgewater at 3 is better value than Mack at 3, yes. <div> LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Clown. </div>
If they weren't interested in a QB then what about...an Earl Thomas type
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - FS - Alabama
Quote:I see neither of you realize how a draft board in the NFL works. Cool. Shut up, kid. I realize I don't know sht about the draft. You don't realize that you also don't know sht about it. If you think Teddy is your franchise QB, you take him. Whether that's at 3 or 7 or whatever. If you think he's a franchise QB, he should be at the top of your list because of how important the position is. You don't risk trading down for another 3rd round pick and losing out on your guy. For instance, you may have Jake Matthews rated higher, but that doesn't mean you should select Jake Matthews at 3, nor does it mean you should trade down and expect some other team (who needs a QB btw) to draft Matthews ahead of Bridgewater. Let's just say that you're Dave Caldwell. Your biggest need is QB. You have rated Bridgewater as the say 5th best prospect in the draft, and the 1st QB prospect. You gave Bridgewater a similar grade to Matt Ryan. You think he will be a similar player. You're sitting at #3 and Bridgewater drops to you. 3 out of the top 5 players on your board are left. One is Bridgewater, a Matt Ryan in your opinion. Another is Matthews, a Joe Thomas type of player. The third is Khalil Mack, who projects as a versatile all around good defender in the league. Do you trade back to maximize "value"? Or do you pick Bridgewater? Or do you take Matthews, a player graded out as the best player in the draft (left on the board) at a position that's not really an impact position?

Quote:I'm more of a fan of Pyror than HaHa I see Pryor as the better Safety but as more of a Cyprien type thats more SS than FS. With Ha-Ha he is more coverage/range than the come up and lay the wood type.

Quote:Shut up, kid. I realize I don't know sht about the draft. You don't realize that you also don't know sht about it.Listen. This is common knowledge. Every GM has a, "Big Board". His, "Big Board", is the final say. A GM will list 200-300 players on his board in a certain order. The highest rated player available on his board will be the pick. There is NO WAY, Teddy Bridgewater is rated higher than Sammy Watkins, Khalil Mack, Jadaveon Clowney, Jake Matthews, or Greg Robinson. Caldwell may like Bridgewater, yes. But he HAS to like Clowney, Mack, or Watkins more. There is just no way. I also don't believe QB is the biggest need on this team. DE is the biggest need on this team. Therefore, in my opinion we're picking either Khalil Mack to play LEO or OLB or Jadaveon Clowney. Quote:I think Bridgewater at 3 is better value than Mack at 3, yes. <div> LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Quote:So, there is no possibility that Caldwell reaches a whopping 3 players in order to take a shot at a QB this team desperately needs? lol, according to his logic, he won't. QBs are far more important than any other position. If he's only "reaching" 3 spots (which I wouldn't call reaching anyway), the QB will be the pick. Bank on it. Now, the more likely scenario is that he doesn't have Bridgewater ranked nearly that high. If Bridgewater is a late 1st round pick in their eyes, even if he's the best QB available - he won't be the pick..

You're almost describing a literal board that has players ranked 1 through 200 and the GM just basically takes the highest rated available player on that board, regardless of position or need or anything like that. A pure BAP philosophy... which just does not happen.

Quote:I'd lean towards Anthony Barr but Aaron Donald would garner heavy consideration. I'd go with something like this also.
I'd probably go Anthony Barr. Raw since he hasn't played the position that long but, he has all the tools to be a dominant edge rusher.

Need of the position, how well the player played in college and how they think he will translate to the NFL is weighed in to their grade. The team's actual favorite player. There is just NO way they take any QB in this draft before Jadaveon Clowney, Khalil Mack, or Sammy Watkins. Quote:I think Bridgewater at 3 is better value than Mack at 3, yes. <div> LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.
