Hutchinson free lanced a stunt inside on Sunday against the Bears and enabled Fields to take off downfield inside the redzone for an easy touchdown. He lost containment. It's only a 2nd rounder if he's extended. At the moment it's one of our 3rd's since we're getting a 3rd RD compensatory pick with Taylor's signing with the Chiefs. Also, not sure what [BLEEP] rock you're living under but Detroit's been one of the better teams this year. Especially with Goff. He's having a better year than Lawrence. Stop living under a rock or maybe lay off the rock. That's a quick way to end up on the streets of Mayport. Also, for the people that keep arguing that we need that late 2nd RD pick, why? What has Baalke done with his 2nd and 3rd RD picks that instills anybody with any level of confidence that he'll find a player of better or equal value than what Ridley at least provides now as it stands? Baalke, if anything, has shown more competence with his free agency skills Vs. his drafting and scouting skills. Cope harder I guess. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. To be brief, I am stepping away from the team to take care of personal family matters. Although this was no easy decision, I cannot be the player/person that I need to be for this team as well as tend to my family from afar. This organization has been amazing, showing love and support for myself and my family over the years, and this time is no different. To my brothers and coaches, I will be rooting for you every step of the way! This is the year! Go get it!"

With his 5 catches for 35 yards.... with personal leave from football. On apparently a bad team in Detroit (9 wins this year) with poor QB play (Goff with 21 TD passes). I'll shut up when you dig your stupid head out of your [BLEEP] or stop starvin' for Marvin. ![]() ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I’ve been around the board for 15 years, never seen Caldrac this fired up.

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
I've been on-board for keeping Ridley at a reasonable price, but if the talk about his moping and taking plays off is true, there's no way he'd be worth giving up a 2nd rounder for. Never know for sure if these are just rumors or actually factual.

At this point, you can't logically do that. Not at all. How about 2nd rounder and a contract in the 14-16 range Does Ridley want to go chase money elsewhere into an unknown situation? How much is stability and continuity worth to him? I think Ridley has the same issues as Kadarius Toney does, he makes some great catches and has these moments where you go wow, but he makes constant mental errors that come easy to a ln average WR. He has more talent but as I listened to people talk about Toney this week I felt like they were describing Ridley as well.

Ridley's 13 games in after being at home for 2 years. Big difference. Also, Ridley's made some tougher catches this year that Mahomes would die to have on his offense. Toney's been targeted a whopping 34 times this year. That's nothing. BUT, it does tell you how awful he is with the limited opportunities he's had with the football in his direction or out on the football field. I think there's two ways to look at this, well, three really: 1. There's four games left plus the post season to judge him further. With Kirk out? I don't see Doug, Press and Trevor shying away from him in the grand scheme of things. He's going to keep getting fed out there. For better or worse. You cannot coach scared and you cannot play scared in this sport. 2. People are really swept up in the whole contract and 2nd RD thing. I am not. I think it's a gamble either way, BUT, I would prefer to gamble on Ridley going into year two with this offense and another off season to work with Lawrence to get better. I think everybody was hoping for a Stephon Diggs year one in Buffalo or DaVante Adams year one in Las Vegas like season out of him, but, again, two completely different sets of circumstances there. 3. Him actually NOT playing like Diggs and Adams right off the bat is a good thing and could benefit this team more than people realize right now I think. I don't think you're going to have to break the bank for him and I don't think he'll command as much as people think. Trying to backfill another WR spot on this team with all of the other holes to fill along the lines on both sides is just a nightmare. Bringing in a new face just adds another year of potential frustrations, chemistry imbalances and rhythm breakdowns. I still think Lawrence is capable of being good enough to make average receivers look above average if they give him a better offensive line. This offensive is line is below average. That's the biggest problem we have on the table to address today and moving forward. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Right I'm not saying they're the same player more that their ability is being held back by the mental aspects. Your right it's a gamble but it's not a gamble on something thats teachable, it's a gamble on will Ridley be able to over come the mental inconsistencies he's shown this year. In my opinion he won't be able to as the mental part of the game has been an issue for him in the past and it led him to take a year off. If the reports are true and it's a big if then it's already snowballing for him. All depends on how much of a "head case" they determine he is. If they have serious concerns about this, there's no amount of money I'd offer him since they'd be losing a 2nd round pick. Good receivers can be drafted and Lawrence makes receivers better. Also, Tee Higgins would be a possibility due to his connection with Trevor, but only at a reasonable price. I think it's a lot more complicated and complex than just saying "Chopper, sick balls" or "Sick em' boy!" and he just goes and gets it done out there on a weekly basis. This has been an interesting offense all year. We've had a lot of inconsistencies, we've had a poor showing for the 2nd year in a row now with this offensive line unit, we're not getting the running game going and we've seen a lot of injuries hit the WR room now. Zay Jones got hurt, Jamal Agnew got hurt, now Christian Kirk is hurt. Not sure what all has been asked out of Ridley in this offense. Some people will say we're not moving him around enough or using him around the field enough like other quality offenses do with their best receiver on the football field. My biggest thing I'll keep going back to, is, who are you replacing him with in 2024? Whether it's with that 2nd RD pick or another free agency target? And, is it worth it? I know Tee Higgins' name keeps coming up. Again, I get the Lawrence to Higgins connection at Clemson. But, we're looking for a #1 WR, and that's not Higgins. Higgins benefits from having a true #1 in Chase. So, there's just a ton of things to consider and the good thing is that there's plenty of football left for a lot of this to be put to rest for good. We'll see soon enough. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. Unless he has some incredible finish, [BLEEP] him. Send him packing. I don’t think he’s done ANYTHING to warrant keeping at this point.
