Absolutely the 1st mock draft that I've seen that has Watkins going to us.....all the rest have Clowney, Mack or one of the QBs
Would not be mad at all if we took Watkins at 3.............
What a dangerous bunch of receivers we would have Justin Blackmon Sammy Watkins Cecil Shorts III Ace Sanders Mike Brown/Tandon Doss
Shock the world

Quote:Do yourself a favor and dont count on Blackmom I'm 100% counting on Blackmon. I refuse to believe that he would do anything again to get busted. And I'm normally pessimistic.

Quote:You mean like after his first suspension? Nope, I'm talking about the current one... you know, the one that you might not come back from at all? Like... the last straw maybe?

More and more these days......it's looking like Sammy......the best offensive weapon in this year's draft.....a weapon that the Jags have a dire need for.....
Now both McShay AND Kiper have Sammy going to us at #3 in their 5.0 mock drafts. Unless Clowney falls or we get a great deal to move back a few spots or Watkins is taken at #2, then I think Sammy will be ours.

Watkins is the likely pick at this point.

Quote:I still think he goes to STL if they stay at 2. Possibly. I think if they want to add a left tackle, they probably need to take one there. As the top 3 will all likely be gone by the time they pick at 13.

Even if StL does pick Watkins, Mack would still be there. I like Watkins but Mack would be a great pick too.

I have no problem with Sammy, the smile on my face if we get Sammy and Justin comes back is huge, i can only image what Jedd would do with them. While i will always prefer a great D to a Great O, i still want to see this O have some life and score points
Quote:I still think he goes to STL if they stay at 2. Good Lord I hope they (St. L) take him....Watkins at 3 would be pretty much the worst possible thing. Even worse than selecting Mack at 3. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
the main thing that I take away from this is that all of these draft gurus are getting the idea from somewhere that the jaguars are just fine taking a QB in the later rounds. Watkins is an exciting playmaker. Just bummed that I never got to enjoy the excitement of the last exciting playmaker we drafted. (Blackmon)
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:Good Lord I hope they (St. L) take him....Watkins at 3 would be pretty much the worst possible thing. Even worse than selecting Mack at 3.The only issue I have with it is that there is a ton of WR depth in this draft and he's not head and shoulders above everyone else.
