Do you think if FSU got in the final 4, they’d seriously have a chance to win…errr…stay within 3 touchdowns of any of those teams? I think record matters, but you have to factor in talent and schedule too. The FSU talent is not there, esp without Travis. I mean,  I would argue Liberty should be ranked over FSU.

As for why play a bowl game, well, that’s just the tradition of the sport. Things change next year, obviously.

They honored four power 5 champions. What are you talking about? FSU was the weakest of the group and they have showed the last three games why. Without Travis they stink. Hell, with Travis, they barely beat a really bad BC and Clemson team. The ACC had a bad year. If FSU was in the Big 10 or SEC they’d prolly have 3 or 4 losses. They’re better off staying in ACC where next year the conf champ is gauranteed a top 4 seed.

Well that’s next year. We can only go with what we have and the rules in place. 

Yeah, it’s an opinion game, unfortunately. If we go by record, then Liberty would be in the conversation. Didn’t they go undefeated? In all seriousness, I actually like FSU a lot. But I don’t think they belong in the final four based on the rules in place. Injuries do matter, according to the rules, and FSU has not looked anything like a good football team without Travis. I would root for hell like them in the final 4, but I also think they’d get humiliated. Why do you think Michigan reacted the way they did when Bama’s logo came up instead of FSU’s?  They’re not dumb…they know.

Well, it’s not a huge deal to me, because I care a lot more about the NFL, but you are missing the point that it was a third string quarterback, making his second start against a mostly full strength UGA defense, all the whole missing almost all the actual star players of the team. This is not a game you can really judge. Teams like FSU are not as deep as teams like UGA. However, their top guys are just as good.

Actually, as a Nole, I didn't give the game a second thought today. Didn't even watch, because the game was a farce and of no value. Not a [BLEEP] was given.
