Playoff Scenarios

So obviously win and we're in.

I played around with the ESPN Playoff Machine: https://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine

If we lose we need:

Bal Win
LV Win

And we'll get the 7th seed.

But let's just beat Tennessee and be on our way.

At first glance I thought we needed Houston to win but that matchup doesn't matter as long as Bal and LV win

And looks like we're playing one of Buffalo, Miami, or Cleveland if we make it in.

Just win, baby.

You know it.

I feel much more comfortable about the Tennessee "win and you're in" game this year than I did last year. Even despite our recent struggles.

Last week was Week 1 of the playoffs. From there on it's Sudden Death and they need to play like it every week.

I just find it interesting that Buffalo could win and find themselves as the 2 seed or could lose and be out the playoffs entirely if Pittsburgh beats Baltimore which may not be all that unlikely given that Baltimore has locked up the 1 seed and may rest guys for the entire game or perhaps just in the 2nd half.  I'd rather see Pittsburgh get in over Buffahole.

I don't want to think about our team having to travel to Buffahole in a scenario where we lose next week and back into the playoffs.  Give me the home game against the Browns who barely beat us when key guys were out and Trevor was fresh off a high ankle sprain.  They won't beat us again.  I visited a few Browns boards to find chatter about their upcoming playoff game against the AFCS champion and couldn't find much.  Their boards don't seem all that active.  I read a handful of posts, most of which were quite confident about going up against any of the AFCS teams since they did sweep the division, but no mention of the condition the Jags were in when we played them and no mention of the refs handing them the game against the clots.  They'll be in for a rude awakening.

Do Browns fans travel well?

I agree --- that is a strange scenario for Buffalo

Regarding Browns fans traveling, the fact that a lot of their population left that horrid city (Mistake on the Lake), means that their are many Browns fans actually living in Florida who may make the trip to Jacksonville since they suck and likely will not make the playoffs ever again.
