OL - 2023

Assistant OL coach?  Hahaha.  What about Dougs buddy the head oline coach?

So, he's essentially cutting the tail off the snake instead of cutting the head off. It's kind of lazy in my opinion. He's really trying his best to protect his boys. Raushcer's assistant wasn't cutting it?

Is it the RB coach's fault that Bigsby was drafted too early and he had a KNOWN ball security issue coming out of Auburn? It was one of the main things I recall highlighting about him during the draft day threads. He had less than 500 career rushing attempts and damn near 10 career fumbles.

I get it. Sacrifices have to be made in these colossal freefalls but some of these decisions are more cosmetic than actual underlying resolutions. Are we firing the WR's coach as well for all of the drops, wrong routes, and fumbles? What about the strength and conditioning coach? The entire WR room was depleted down the stretch.

Just seems comical. What about the TE coach? Engram did what he was supposed to do, but, Strange was a let down as well and was penalized more than actually contributing to the offensive output. Farrell was hit or miss and buried at some point on the depth chart.

If he hires Arthur Smith on as an offensive line coach / running game coordinator / running back's coach I would be impressed. That would be a viable upgrade and change to the entirety of the offense.

It could be he knows it's the lack of talent and deterioration due to age and injury along the o-line and not the coaches fault specifically, but also knows he has to throw a bone out there regarding the piss poor o-line play.  I'm shocked Rauscher still has a job, but that's about the only thing I can come up with that makes sense.

Regarding Parmalee, he did talk Bigsby way up there right after the draft.  Said something about of all the RBs in that class, Bigsby really jumped off the screen or something to that effect.  If his comments were spoken internally pre-draft and swayed the braintrust to draft him in the first place, that could very well be the reason he's gone now.

Listening to Doug's last interview, he talks about how he talked to a lot of the players individually, and he already have the "why"s, and if I had to guess, comunication was the biggest issue; he talked about weeks two and three, how he talked to the team about playoff implications, and they( I guess the players) only understand the message in the last couple of weeks...he even talked about changing the way he comunicate with players and coaches.

Facts, he has been the weakest link for 2 years straight and is the worst C this franchise has ever had by a good margin

Look at this moron.

I brought his destruction up in the game day thread when it happened.

The team somehow managed to win 9 games with one of the worst offensive lines I've ever seen and a so so defense.

I just hope Baalke is gone soon so that a real GM can come in and start the process moving toward the draft.

Khan should have Spielman on the phone right now, if not hours ago.

That’s a good thought. Hire an EVP over Trent.

Meanwhile, Jags fans are left wondering how much money they should drop on TL to be a below-average QB but above-average choker.

Hardest hit: sycophantic, blind to all reality, horribly defensive moderators.

Led the 3rd biggest playoff comeback in his 2nd year as a Quarterback…’above average choker’ get a grip ?

He has his flaws but that is not one of them.

I still believe in TLaw he was banged up all year, I firmly believe this entire draft should be tackles, guards and DTs

Trevor was banged up. And having a trash O line got in his head. But he’s had struggles with decision making that can’t be pinned on the line. Too many times he’s locked in on a particular receiver and doesn’t read the field. He needs to spend time with Jordan Palmer or another qb fixer in the offseason.

Forgot about Beebe.  I wanted him last year before he decided to go back for his senior year.  Would be a solid 2nd or 3rd round pick.

I had Beebe going to us in the 2nd RD in one of my mock's. The one guy I was hoping to get on day three as a potential developmental swing tackle / guard was Jack Nelson out of Wisconsin but he's going back to school.

This is a hilarious post. To suggest that we struggled because of Little (who is a backup swing tackle at best) that is the reason our season went downhill is comical.

Herp Derp

He's talking about when Little stepped on and injured Lawrence's ankle in the Bengals' game dip [BLEEP]. Try and catch up

That was absolutely when our season started to go downhill

Our season went downhill when we went from averaging 2 turnovers+ per game on defense between week 1-12 to only getting 2 more total the rest of the way.

Our turnover differential is NEGATIVE lmao we had 27 takeaways, unacceptable offense.

The lucky turnovers were the only thing that kept this Defense from giving up 31+ points a game because they were terrible all year long and couldn't stop anybody.

Lucky or not, that's the source of our success this past season regardless of how it happened.

Cause takeaways are the biggest factor when it comes to how high your team ranks in offense, correct?   LOL.

You also think that a 7.2 YPA is bad, correct?
