Trade down and take a TE? Having Fun Here. With 5-6 Starters!

Quote:Duh, quality, not quantity. There are literally hundreds of tight ends coming out of colleges. You can find a quality tight end in about any round.

Ebron - 1st round?

Amaro - 2nd-ish?

Austin Seferian-Jenkins - 2nd-ish to third-ish?

Niklas - 2nd-ish to 3rd-ish?

Fiedorowicz - 3rd

Lynch - 3-4-ish

Gillmore - 4-5-ish
Right. You contradicted yourself. You said he'd be there in the third or fourth then you said he'd be in high demand in a thin class.  It's one or the other. Can't be both. Duh.

You obviously grasp the concept or you wouldn't be backpedaling from "3rd or 4th" to just "3rd."  LOL

No contradiction, that's a quote you have highlighted from the guy pretending to be a real NFL scout. He wrote the descriptions at NFL.com

The third or fourth is based on semi-scientific observation of these draft pick machines. They are becoming evil-spirited about maintaining appearances of their strange way of grading players and which team picks which player, and, with the addition of compensatory picks, all the players are in and out with the tide. Third round. fourth round. etc.

The first-pick.com one might as well just pick the entire draft for everybody. You pick a player then you will never be able to replicate your draft because it seems to use previous draft attempts against you. To grade high you avoid a player with a low grade figuring he will still be there. When you click ahead he's either picked too soon or immediately prior to your next pick.

I still wonder where all the click data they accumulate is going? It's virtually useless to anybody with scouting skills. No NFL team will draft based on a popularity poll.

I say all this because I have drafted Fiedorowicz in the early third and got a "B -" and drafted him in the early fourth and got a "A-". Other times he's simply drafted by computer-generated assignment way early in the third, or early in the fourth.

In the end the fun is sucked out of trying to draft and make high grades, so you just pick 'em regardless of what grade spits out.

Quote:Having fun here! If you have time give us yours with same trades and spots.

1st trade - We take a trade w/ Atlanta for #6 and #37 this year. (and a 2015 third day pick)

2nd trade - We take a trade w/ Detroit for #10 and #45 this year. (and a 2015 third day pick)

JAGS trade #45, 5th rounder and 6th to NE for #30

So the Jags have:

1-#10 Eric Ebron TE - Two TE sets with Mercedes and Ebron. BEAST MODE!! (Starter)

1-#30 CJ Mosley LB (Starter) or Kony Ealey DE (Starter)

2-#37 David Yankey OG (Starter)

2-#39 Stephon Tuitt DT D-Line BEAST MODE (Starter)

3- Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB (Starter)

4- Mettenberger QB

4- Bryan Stork C (Starter)

5- Storm Johnson RB

5- Brett Smith QB

6- Morgan Breslin LB

7- Trey Boston FS

WOOOT WOOOOOOT!!
I dont hate this fun idea but I think we would get more picks...I also think TE is low on our needs right now. I believe they like Clay Harbor and see a future but you dont pass talent up sometimes.

IF we trade back with Atlanta at 6 and then with Detroit we would get 2 more 2nds and probably 3rd too...and possibly more...so in your scenario

At Ten I think we would take a hard look at Ealy, Gilbert, Barr and Ford too. but I will play the game

10: Ebron TE

30: Xavier (Guard)

37: Shazier OLB

39 Garrapolo. QB

3rd-Jeffcoat LEO/DE

3rd(atl)- Jaylen WAtkins CB/S

4th Weston Richburg C

4th keith Mcgill CB

5th Jon Halipio OG

5th James Gayle DE

5th Brett Smith QB

6th D Anthony Thomas KR/PR

6th Carrun Reid DT

7th Kevin Norwood WR

I think the most likely trade partner is the Bucs moving up to take watson at 3.

Is there another method to shooting yourself other than 'personally'?

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Seek help. Like, immediately and stuff.

Or, just grab yourself a beer and enjoy the ride.
