Trevor Lawrence: Franchise QB (TL Discussion, Merged Threads)

Is Trevor only slightly better than pedestrian with a turnover problem, or did the bad OL force mistakes? Some QBs need more protection than others. Brock Purdy would not be as productive without that wall in front of him, whereas Mahomes would show signs of stress but could still make good things happen. Lawrence falls more to the Purdy side of the scale. He's forcing plays to compensate for a bad OL and the mistakes are piling up while production plummets.I agree with that. It's a shame the Jaguars GM can't find his [BLEEP] with both hands when it comes to getting a decent offensive line to protect their biggest investment.' In '15 Bortles had a 5 TD game against the Titans, no garbage time we lost by a score and it was a game until the end. Plenty of other examples of that too. Can our guy even throw 5 tds in a game? hell can he throw 4 TDs in a game without 4 ints? And then in 2022 and 2023? Bortles played on three AWFUL teams that were almost ALWAYS getting blown out. I know, you have selective amnesia. You only want to point to Lawrence’s first year because it meets your needs. Oh, and he HAS thrown for four without four INTs genius.

You either pay me top 5 money now and we'll revisit in 2 years when I'm outperforming what will then be a top 10 deal or we wait a year and I reset the market next offseason. That would be my mentality if I were him or his agent. I agree with this. It would surprise if the Treavor camp had not expressed directly the disappointment in the organization for not providing a competent offensive line. I also cannot imagine he would want to spend his entire career running for his life on every pass attempt. There are teams that will not do that to him. as a side note I heard some kids singing a song that had to be written about Treavor's many injuries this last year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZanHgPprl-0

I don't care what the stats say my eyes tell me he is the best Jaguars QB already and he is on his way as long as he cuts turnovers down and if they fix the oline he should be able to do that no excuses that's it.

It’s not like he’s making horrible reads on his interceptions either. Cut down on the fumbles. Get an actual run game instead of one that gets stuffed for negative yards every 3 plays. We cookin. Then the trolls can go back in the hole. Well, if I were him I would not sign an extension this year if our front office had that attitude. My plan would be to see if they will provide a competent offensive line first before I decided whether to move on to another team or not. Not spending my whole career running for my life while trying to win games. Not getting my rear end kicked on almost every play, which has an effect on my stats. Not spending my career tripping over offensive linemen that have been pushed into me. If this was college I would have been in the portal after the first year. (Urban) and after this year's offensive line display if they took receivers and CB's before linemen in the draft, I would know I needed a change of teams.

It was a universally accepted thought by the majority of the MSM. RG3: 9-6, 65.6%, 3200 yards, 20 TDs, 5 INTs, 815 Rush Yards, 7 Rush TDs, Total TDs 27 CJ: 9-6, 63.9%, 4108 yards, 23 TDs, 5 INTs, 167 Rush Yards, 3 Rush TDs, Total TDs 26 RG3 is actually a perfect comparison and by the numbers, actually had a slightly better season than CJ. Now, RG3 had a bad knee injury, CJ had a bad concussion. It will be interesting to see how CJ does in year two
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
