Maason Smith gets to learn from Arik Armstead.

What a luxury for him and the Jags

Baalke loves his traits. Maason Smith....looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. Loved the trade down and still nabbing Brian Thomas. This one was horrible.

Why can’t we ever have good things in the second round?

I wanted this draft to be offensive heavy. WR and OL. If they use 98 and one of the 4ths on the OL, I’m ok.

And maybe trade for Lattimore at CB

Yeah the next couple of picks should have to be OL and CB imo.

But if we can trade for a guy like Lattimore and it not cost an arm and a leg, by all means lets go for an All-Pro CB in addition to a cheaper/youthful corner through the draft - especially with Tyson coming up for his next contract.

That 2023 draft is sickening with how many selections were made.

Would much prefer packaging up extraneous draft picks to move up in the draft to select a higher-rated player. Roster space is limited and a bunch of those late round selections wouldn't even make the league in 2 years.

Yeah. After Anton, every single one has made little discernible impact.

These Maason Smith highlights are a little underwhelming. Except his game against mcneese st

Admittedly don't know much about him but reading the "weaknesses" in the link above makes him sound like the defensive version of fortner. Concerns about strength and leverage.

Reminds me of one of those embarrassing family moments. It's like they do not look at each other.

Yeah if there's any consolation in this pick, it's that Maason is going to have EVERY opportunity to be an impactful player with Travon Walker, Josh Allen and Arik Armstead flanking him.

And they probably gave McNeese St. a check to come out for their annual butt-whooping.

So, one of my buddies follows college ball, and said he was a total monster before he got hurt. I think we are banking on him getting back into form.

Baalke don't give a [BLEEP] about production and I don't think he watches game tape. It's all about measurable and athletic ability

Right now. The Rams and Eagles have done the best. Steelers as well.

They committed to fixing their issues. Rams took Verse and Fiske on DL. Steelers took Fuaga and Frazier on OL. Eagles stole Mitchell and DeJean at CB.

They need to start moving up. 96, 114 and 116. Package up and get an OG.

Yes, the start of the season will be 2 years. He better be all healed up or he probably won't ever be 100%.

Yeah, I'd like to know why they valued Smith higher than some of the other prospects like Jenkins/etc. I really want us to move back into the 2nd round/early 3rd if Beebe is present.

But Maason Smith is Baalke built.

Whatever. BRIAN THOMAS JRRRRRRR

As much as I love the BTJ pick, we can't potentially torch our 2nd round pick with an iffy prospect. We need all of the starters we can get to make an impact on the field for our team.

Disappointed that the clots chose Adonai there...

Beebe arms are way to short for Baalke.  He's probably not even on our board

They need to trade up to get one of the corners or offensive linemen or we'll end up like last season- too many late round picks who never help the team. Baalke will claim he tried to move up but nobody would bite. That's a sorry excuse- give up a little more than you want to get a guy who will help the team. There are still very good players at both positions- go get one and then try to get another. I'd be very satisfied with a draft class of Thomas, Smith, Rakestraw/Tampa and Beebe/Bortelini/McCormick/Mahogany.

Draft is too deep through four to do that.  We need can and two ol with those three picks.

So you're saying he's got Beebe arms?

Damn.

Yall know Maason Smith played last year, right?

https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/pla...ith-1.html

He's not coming in injured. 23 pressures last year. We might get lucky with his upside on a rotational basis.
