I am so glad to have Sirius both in my vehicles as well as being able to stream. I can listen to the '70's, '80's and '90's music from back when the artists/bands actually had some real talent. Modern "music" in the so-called country genre is not country music, it's pop music (specifically calling out Taylor Swift and Beyonce and so many others). There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Totally forgot about this one hit wonder until it popped up on my music feed. As much as I really don't care for Techno or Disco music (I do listen to The Cars and Blondie though) , This tune sort of stuck with me for some reason.........

Bands or musicians you liked 40 years ago may still be making new music that sounds old.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Let me start this off by saying that I am a fan of just about every type of music there is. The only exceptions are, Rap, Disco, and that record scratching computer generated crap that these so called "DJ's" out there play. I mean I can be listening to Frank Sinatra one minute, and The Sex Pistols the next. My mother was a teenager in the 1950's when Rock and Roll was just getting a foothold in American society so..... when I came along in 1961, all through my formative years I was listening to the likes of Bill Haley and the Comets, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, among others. SO I was born to Rock essentially.... Now, I've heard bands do a lot of cover songs from other artiest out there, and sometimes it's a hit or miss if they do a mediocre or a great job, there is a fine line. One band I believe that no one could cover correctly is CCR, the vocal style is just too hard hitting for most singers out there. That being said, I recently heard a cover of Nazareth's song Love Hurts from 1976. It's a great song to begin with and I've always liked it because it has a very deep meaning to me. The artist I saw in a video covering this great song was Joan Jett. Just the raw feelings and emotions she projects while preforming this song makes it seem it was written just for her. One of the best covers of any song I've ever heard. Don't believe me, here's the video..... Decide for yourself........

This is a great album as was their followup. They didn't get a great amount of attention outside of that one track but I have and like both of those albums. I wouldn't classify them as techno or disco, they were more like funk or R&B. Very James Brown influenced. Try this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PthvGwtMS8s
