Fulham Update - merged

NYC- go over to www.SI.com and click on Soccer/Leagues/England and you'll get to the Premier League where you can see the standings, scoreboard, etc. A win over West Brom would be huge as it would tie us with them but we'd still be in the relegation zone (bottom 3 teams).

GClarke can tell us how many matches are left. The draw against Man U today was huge, maybe we added some good players during the transfer window.

Apologies for the late reply, I've just seen this!

Fulham are playing at the moment and beating Liverpool 1-0 with 30 minutes gone.  It looks like Liverpool are having the better game from the stats on bbc.co.uk but so were Man Utd Smile .  They will have 12 games left after this.  If they can win tonight and beat West Brom on Saturday, there is a chance they may be out they will be out of the relegation zone for the time being

Muelensteen has been fired and replaced by someone I've not heard of!  I think it's safe to say they will be relegated now and will be looking to rebuild over the summer.

lost their last game 5-0 vs Manchester City.

Looks like relegation is unavoidable now.

I think Khan might have been too hasty in firing the coach a few weeks ago. From what I read, that coach before the current one was pretty good. It was Khan's second firing of their head coach in the same year. The first firing was justifiable, the second one, not so much.

You don't know the coaches' names or anything about them.

I actually did a little reading up on it, so the above statement isn't accurate. I'm no authority on the matter, but per most accounts, the previous coach was doing a good job considering the talent he had. Per the fans' accounts, they seemed to think firing the previous coach was a mistake. The current coach apparently was from a different league entirely. They saw it as a panic move.

Mistake or not, they were terrible with all the managers they had this season. Previous manager was on the road to regulation as well.

And here's the kicker... he absolutely hates soccer.

The only interest here is to kick around Khan, so that he trolls Jaguar fans.

He's stooped low before, but this is about the lowest yet.

I don't really hate soccer. I respect its longstanding worldly tradition. I do think American soccer fans for the most part are poseurs, however....especially the younger fans that just latch on because they think its hip to do so and can claim it as "theirs".

I was actually casually rooting for Fulham to do well enough to avoid relegation, (just because Khan's association with them) so just goes to show how much  you assume and are wrong.

Khan got me hooked on watching a second half train wreck every Saturday mourning, so he does kinda suck.
