It's simply that the silent generation and many boomers don't know when or how to pass things on to the next generation.

It's also that parties are weaker now, believe it or not. Voters' party identity has never been stronger, but the parties' ability to recruit people in and kick people out has never been weaker.

This means that the only path to power is to have your own team of loyalists, donors, and advisors -the party will very rarely bring those people to you anymore. And a politician immersed in that system for a decade or two very quickly gets surrounded with people who view him or her as a meal ticket and who need their patron to never ever retire.

I honestly cared little for Politics until I watched the world around me fall apart.  Look at NY city for an example of Joe's America.  If you do not know, NY is a cesspool.  Immigrants have flooded the city, Polices super soft on crime, Lack of police presence throughout most of the city, Businesses leaving due to insane theft and local governments too scared to enforce any meaningful laws.  They are handing out Debit cards and free aid to people who broke the Law to come into the country.  I have been dirt poor and see poor all around me, I have never seen the government just hand out free money to Americans without some kind of stipulation. 

I am trying to change careers and trust me I can tell you their Job Market reports are complete crap.  LinkedIn is flooded with people with college degrees who are all fighting for entry level roles.  You can't even find a Job at your local Mcdonald's in most places.  Then I observe this youth and the policies that are pushed on our Youth and it just screams insanity to me.  Dr. Martin Luther King wanted everybody to be judge by the content of their character versus the color of their skin.  People have forgotten that.  I am a white guy who grew up in Majorly black areas and went to black schools.  I can tell you Racism isn't a black and white thing, It is an American Thing.  The country has embraced victim-hood!  Can you tell me where I can cash in my white privilege card?  I am struggling, living paycheck to paycheck but I was told because I'm white I have it easy.  My point is that is the level of thinking of this administration.  Racism is being taught in our schools right now.  Sorry for rambling but this is just insane what has happened to this country under Joe Biden.  I believe another 4 years could throw us in a Dystopian America.

Right but I don't listen to pundits on TV or radio.  And if I read an opinion piece in The Atlantic or The Economist or CNN.com or somewhere else, I tell you "I saw an article where..."

I come up with my stuff on my own.

Which is not to say my stuff is necessarily good or correct. And it's usually pretty obvious stuff, which is why you might read or hear others saying the same thing.

Roughly the same views and stance on my end. I cared very little for politics, thought it was all rigged (I honestly still do right now as I type this) since high school and throughout all of my 20's. I just have to take a swing at it every election year moving forward. Need something to believe in. I can at least say I tried instead of [BLEEP] about things not going my way.
