Marty, I know you love the NYT for their cultural content and its faded past of intellectual discourse, but you're going to have to eventually admit that it has become a cheap leftwing rag.

That's an interesting prediction.  Maybe I will, maybe I won't.  I enjoy the NY Times.  I don't agree with their editorials, and I see that they come at things from a left of center point of view, and that infects their news coverage sometimes, but there is so much interesting content they put out that has nothing to do with politics, that you won't see anywhere else.  And most other publications are so dumbed down in order to get readers, they are very boring and worthless.  

Besides, do you really want to cut yourself off from ever reading any opinions that conflict with yours?  I don't.  I think I have the ability to read opinion pieces that I disagree with without becoming infected somehow.  Aren't you interested in how other people think?  Left wingers are not always wrong, just like right wingers are not always wrong.

Personally, I appreciate your takes on most things (maybe because I agree with them). It takes guts to state views that often differ from the majority of people who regularly look at Duval Pride. Bottom line is that very few things in this world are all black or white. Those who look at things that way (on both sides of the political spectrum) are just being "lazy" in their thinking.

Right wing commentator and former SS agent Dan Bongino is a good listen and resource right now.  Here's a link to an emergency 20 minute podcast episode he put out shortly after the attempt on Trump's life took place where he talked about SS and general security procedure for events like these.  We've seen a lot more info come in since this podcast so it's already a little dated, but still some good info here.  I'll be interested to hear his next comments likely on Monday.

I was referring to the people on the conspiracy sites. They already had the pictures and were identifying people who it could be. The FBI waited to release a name until they could raid his house and probably wipe his social media accounts. We will probably find out soon he was a known person.

With both parents being psychologist or similar, I'm sure the kid was messed up. If any videos or posts are there, I'm sure they will be found.

I have seen pictures of FBI or SS sniper who appeared to be targeting someone in the direction the shots eventually came from.  So that rumor might have some legs.  The sniper seemed to be aiming at the shooter, but they didn't pull the trigger until after he fired at Trump.  So, why didn't he shoot the guy before the guy shot at Trump?
