My god, Biden looked terrible.

I wanna say his funding would legally need to go to her, but dems don't play by the rules.

No, they would have an open convention and a nominee would be voted in by the delegates at that time. We'd see rounds of brokering and dealmaking to get people behind one candidate or another and likely 2 rounds of voting, 1 to reduce  from five or six candidates to a two person race and then a final vote to determine the candidate.

The election race or this life?

That depends if Hillary is involved in the process.

This has been an exciting July of politics. Dems need to do the 4 town halls show down. Winner takes all.

I want to see the Democrats have an open convention, with multiple candidates vying for the nomination. Drama!

If Biden drops out, he eventually has to move the money he raised.  Legally he can claim he might run for something else and so he needs to keep it, but most likely he will give it to the new nominee whenever that is solidified, or he will give it to the party   Legally he could also return the money, but he won't.

I have a hard time imagining that anyone besides Harris would even nominate themselves.  While I'm sure one of the thousand or so delegates would attempt to nominate someone else from the floor, by far the most likely scenario would be Harris winning a majority in the first round of voting.  The wildcard is if Biden publicly encourages someone other than Harris to run. I don't think he will.  These are the same people who all stood aside for Hillary in 2016.  They see the value in it.  They think Trump will likely win regardless, this is about saving their chances in Congress.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I'm anticipating a landslide in Trump's favor. I could be wrong. I don't necessarily see a 1984 type landslide, but a sound victory appears imminent. If that winds up being true, I just don't see why someone who has Presidential aspirations like potentially a Gavin or a Michelle would want to get in the way of this train and take what I expect to be a massive "L". If Biden is forced out or steps down voluntarily, I think it pretty much has to be Kamala. I don't think the party gives much of a [BLEEP] about her or her chances in 2028 and beyond and it would be really weird if he stepped down due to health or whatever and she declined to take over as the nominee even facing the odds she or whoever would be facing given the fortunate timing of Trump's legal woes being eased by SCOTUS rulings and by surviving an assassination attempt. This should probably be her only chance ever to be the nominee. I just don't think the desire to take over now is going to be there by people that think they actually have a shot in 2028.

They are currently evaluating if internal polling is within the margins they can overcome with their known cheating tactics. I believe they will find that they can't.

Radio show host Erick Erickson, who claims to have a friend that is a Dem strategist as a source, says the screws are being put to Biden by the DNC which says they will not raise the money for his presidential library unless he steps down.

Of course we don’t know if this is true, but if so, my guess is we’ll hear something definitive by Monday.

I'm thinking that Biden drops out of the race sometime this weekend or at the latest next weekend.  The list of democrats, including some high profile democrats calling for him to drop out is growing daily.  The MSM is even starting to echo the same thing.  He will definitely wait until the weekend after the RNC is over to avoid giving President Trump more fuel for his speech tonight.

The question is though, does he just suspend his re-election campaign or does he step down from his position?  If it's the latter, can we really survive 6 months of Sick  president kakala?

President Jill won’t allow it. It’s an open secret that she loathes Harris.

When they were both running in the primaries in 2020, Harris called Biden a racist.  Jill can't get over that.

The most important thing Trump could do and should do is clean up Federal election rules once and for all.  There should be valid reasons to vote by mail that get honored, like legitimate travel plans and deployed military or significant health conditions that prevent one from getting to the polls, but early voting should not be a thing.  Post marking a ballot on election day and waiting 6 days to allow it to be received should not be a thing.  This one is egregious as there should be no mechanism in place where partial results are coming in and known and un-ID'd ballots can still be dropped in the mail and potentially counted.

Make election day a holiday or push election day to the existing holiday of Veteran's day a week later.  Force employers to provide workers that are otherwise scheduled for that day a guaranteed block of time off to be able to go vote.

It is not voter suppression to truly confirm citizenship during registration and to require IDs on election day.  It's racist to assume minorities can't get an ID or that it's somehow too big of an inconvenience.  There are multiple doors open for potential fraud that need to be shut if only to quell lack of faith in the process.  I know the Feds can't dictate what States do for State elections, but they can exert control over Federal election process.  Dems always seem to want to open doors to potential fraud.  Making sure a legitimate, registered to vote citizen is casting a legitimate vote shouldn't be controversial or somehow considered to be racist.

If it weren't for the fact that the Democratic Party loathes Kakala Harris you would be right. But the fact is that she is despised and was only put in as the VP candidate last time because they thought it would be the death of her career. I have no problem believing that any of the Dem governors would be put in that chair before Harris, she can't even win her own party, much less lead it.

Interesting that we chose that same word, "loathes", that is how most of the DNC feels about her. It's not a secret at all that they want her out too.

a couple changes I would like to see.

1. All absentee ballots must be received 2 days before the election. They are to be locked into a sealed room with a camera on the door. It is the duty of the state to ensure all votes are in the room. No votes "found" after sealing the room will be counted.  If the video is "interrupted" they do not count. (aka Epstein)

2. Vote harvesting is made illegal.
A new broom always sweeps clean.

I don’t mind the early voting aspect IF it is done in a short window and with the scrutiny as election day voting.  Mail-in ballots are the real problem.  Printing off ballots and passing them out randomly screams fraud.
