You guys have no clue what you are saying. It wasn't the Republicans who rushed to expose Joe, it was your own party who rushed him into an unnecessary debate to expose him so the coup could begin.

Few on the right are angry about this.  The popcorn is out to watch the Dems blame each other for the internal [BLEEP] storm we're all witnessing roughly 100 days out.  Calling out the Dem's hypocrisy on the 25th isn't anger, it's gasoline on a fire (and a legitimate observation as well).   Calling out the "party of Democracy" for subverting Democracy isn't anger, it's gasoline on a fire (and a legitimate observation as well).  We'd all rather have the opposition candidate be accountable to the American people than to be an obvious sock puppet, but on the right, we'd all also like to see how high we can get the flames to go as well.

No doubt. This will be a close race with the possibility of Trump losing.

The smart thing for her to do is what Obama did.  Obama knew that, no matter what, he had the black vote and the liberal vote wrapped up.  So he stayed as vague as possible about his plans.  He didn't need to run to the left to maintain the loyalty of the left, because he was black.  Kamala Harris will have the loyalty of all the voters who want a black candidate, or a woman candidate.  She will have the loyalty of all those people, so she won't need to pander to them.  For that reason, she should intentionally avoid presenting herself as a leftist.  She should go after the votes in the center, because being a black woman, she can't possibly lose the votes of people on the left.

It is also important for her to select a more moderate V.P. candidate. Kelly, Shapiro and Beshear would be good choices.

I agree the Dems pushed out Biden, but had not other choice to do so given his deteriorating cognitive signs, as evident at the debate, calling the VP Trump, introducing Zelensky as Putin, and reports that he pretty much works from 10am-4pm .....

How is she the rightful candidate without a primary? She is only the rightful candidate if Biden resigns his presidency and she happens to be the sitting president. Nothing is rightful at this point.

So, in your mind Harris alone would have gotten 14M votes and been the nominee in the primary or no?  The Democrat voters either chose their nominee or they didn't.  One is a democratic process, the other isn't regardless of how it transpired.

FWIW, I hope she's the nominee at this point.  She's tied to the record of the past 4 years and to listen to her speak will probably push those on the fence toward Trump.

The only candidate I think that stands a chance to oust Trump is Michelle Obama. That's if her husband puts her up to it. I really don't think Kamala get's much in the voting booth. She's another one that talks in circles or makes no sense and her political career is riddled with just as much hypocrisy as Biden's. She's said a lot of goofy [BLEEP] publicly.

They all have. Even Trump. At least with Trump though we know what we can expect somewhat for the next four years, whereas, Kamala just reeks off incompetence. I feel bad for women this country. I have yet to see any strong candidates worthy of voting for. Hillary was garbage. Palin was a walking gag at one point. Kamala is meh, and Obama is a wildcard.

^^  I TOTALLY AGREE. 

 Harris has to be the candidate and she will be.    She immediately received $50m in donations and there was actually some sort of conf call that included 34,000 women of color that was held last night.  

This may be a bad analogy but the Dems rallied around the George Floyd killing by police officers back in 2020 whereas this Kamala nomination appears to have a similar impact in 2024 with regard to securing a high black voter turnout in support of the Dems.   I know I know I know ..... people state they don't vote based on color and one can't simply group ethnic races into a single category BUT historical stats state otherwise.

You forget- image is everything.   Harris is much younger than Trump, she is black, she is female, and she can be packaged into an attractive candidate.  She may reek of incompetence to you, but you are not the average voter.  The average voter was saying they didn't want Biden or Trump.  Now they have someone else.  We'll see.  I think she has a decent chance.
