Polls are manipulated to make it seem as though it's a closer race than it really is. The mainstream media is owned by a bunch of wealthy liberals that wants to control the narrative and make people think that Harris has a chance. Most people aren't going to forget how Harris vowed to provide free healthcare to illegal immigrants, the job she did at reducing illegal immigration with the open border policies, and really just plain not doing much of anything the past 3.5 years.

There have been huge mistakes made under the Biden administration that Harris won't be able to run from. The botched Afghanistan withdrawal that gave the Taliban a huge supply of guns, helicopters, missiles, etc. Giving $$$ to Iran that they then used to fund the attacks on Israel. The high inflation, high gas and energy prices, skyrocketing food prices. The billions of $$$ sent to Ukraine when Putin never considered invading while Trump was president.

Not that Trump doesn't have weaknesses like his position on abortion or some of his off the wall comments and tweets. But it's hard to imagine much changing between now and the election, especially with the economy slowing down and weaknesses showing in the labor market.

2. Record high gas prices in all 50 states.
3. Record high consumer debt despite giving away a couple trillion dollars.
4. Violent crime skyrocketed and in some places if you stole less than $1,000 per trip you were not prosecuted. (except in republican controlled areas Florida/Texas etc)
6. Declared war on American energy
7. Lowest test scores K-12 in history.
8. Allowed certain groups to groom kids without their parents consent.
9. A disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
10. A war between Russia and Ukraine.
11 A war between Israel and Hamas which is still escalating.
12. Persecuted any political opponents as well as anyone that supported them with the justice department.
13. Historic inflation in the country while wages rose about 20% of that inflation. (most of the rises of wages was in the upper tiers of the wage scale not the lower 2 quadrants then again it was only crumbs so who cares)
14. Lied to the American people about the Presidents decline in the ability to function.

Absolutely I read the whole article, and nothing you wrote there contradicts anything I said.  Heck, I'm the one who posted the article in the first place.  And I'm glad you read it.  All I was saying was that illegal immigrants have some rights, and the assertion that they do not have any rights is erroneous.

But it's an interesting discussion.  To me, the reason illegal immigrants should have some (not all) Constitutional rights is that otherwise anyone can be picked up and deported without a right to counsel or a trial.  Just picked up and ejected from the country.  Maybe it would happen to you.  You could say, but I'm a citizen, but then they could say, I don't believe you so I am putting you on a plane to Mexico.  Bye.  If illegal immigrants had no Constitutional rights, all the government has to do is accuse you of being an illegal immigrant, and they can do whatever they want.

Except that no one is saying to deport without review. Go before the judge or administrator to present your standing, if you have none then we hit the eject button. That isn't because the illegals have rights, it's to prevent actual citizens from losing theirs. I'm tired of hearing what we have to do to coddle the illegals in our midst. There's 180+ countries on this planet, go suckle off someone else.
