I've been telling you guys for a couple years now that moderates are the problem in this country. Marty. Mikey. Copycat. JagorDie. RicoTX.

It's not that they are bad people, or even that they are wrong about Trump. It's their inability to broaden their view to see that their "principles" are easily manipulated by bad actors.

Trump is a narcissist. So is almost every politician. Trump is a liar. So is almost every politician. Trump says bad things about people. So does almost every other politician. I believe Americans are so comfortable, that even though they can see things are heading in the wrong direction, they've become more concerned with protecting their own comfortability than doing the hard thing and forcing a reset.

Trump is inarticulate. Every slip of his tongue is magnified and broadcast out to millions of people by a media that has a vested interest in preserving the status quo. However, he has a proven track record of being measured in action if you look at his policies.

Kamala is inarticulate. Every slip of her tongue is buried and excused to millions of people by a media that has a vested interest in preserving the status quo. However, she has a proven track record of forcing bad policies on people via her association with the Biden campaign.

The complacent in our country care far too much about the voice of the establishment, who are really the main culprits shaping the image of these politicians. Yes. Trump says dumb things. He's his own worst enemy. Got it. If he were a supporting the establishment, you wouldn't have half of it broadcast to you. EVERY single person who claimed they didn't understand Biden was "that old" is admitting they were uninformed and lied to. He didn't get "that old" overnight. You simply weren't given an accurate picture. Instead of waking up and realizing that it's the media that's lying to you, you fall for the second half of that trick, which is them convincing you that they didn't know he was "that old" either and you should accept a younger person in his place.... without voting for her, btw.

You guys are so easily manipulated. It saddens me, because we need everyone to start pushing back against the establishment, but we can't because of TRUMP. Unfortunately, we only can because of Trump, too. At some point, you're going to have to face the hard issue of your own discomfort. We may as well start with words, because the result of these progressive policies is going to be SO much worse.

I still don't understand who this "establishment" is.  In your telling they are bad, and Trump works against them.  I can't really think of many things that are both bad and targets for Trump.  Trump isn't going to work on abortion anymore.  He did nothing regarding transgender issues. He did nothing regarding the cost of health care, college education, or housing.  He did nothing regarding corporate consolidation and price fixing.
Then there are the good things that he wants to fight.  He wants to shrink or abandon NATO. He wants to reduce the number of solar panels and electric cars out there.
The only thing I can think of that Trump actually fought that is actually bad is the out of control migration, and sure, point for Trump.

And that one point is the major selling point for his Presidency, and should win it based off of that point alone.

There’s definitely been a major shift in election. Just two weeks ago, Trump had a 70% chance to win in November. Now Harris is favored at 52% compared to Trump 46%. The newest polls today in the three rust belt battleground states shows Harris pulling away some.

I dont know what to attribute it to. I really thought the economy/inflation would crush Harris but for some reason its not. I didn’t think the Vance pick was good. I think that’s hurting Trump when you look at Vance’s favorability ratings.m

Still say Trump should have went with Tulsi. If not her, Scott, Donalds or Rubio. A minority candidate would have helped.

This is exactly what I've been saying.

https://www.axios.com/2024/08/10/harris-...mp-revenge

=====quote======
This election is about more than two very different ideologies. It's about two very different moods: joy vs. rage.

Why it matters: The conflicting rhetoric reflects the conflicting calculations of how to win in 2024 — and how Americans are really feeling about the state of the nation.

Former President Trump sees fear as the primary motivator — fear of illegal immigration, crime, inflation, a declining America. He believes swing voters will embrace his darker view and demand protection, even if they don't love his style.

Vice President Harris sees hope (or conflict exhaustion) as the primary motivator — hope to move beyond Trump and fighting, hope in a rising/rebounding America. She believes voters are tired of doom-and-gloom.

====== end quote=====

Remember Obama's slogan- "Change we can believe in?"  What the heck does that have to do with actual issues?  It's completely, purposefully vague.

Campaigns are not always won or lost on issues.  They are very often won on image, likeability, and mood.

I never said I WAS a moderate. I said he NEEDS the moderates. The election is quite literally a popularity contest. The nation is divided. There is a large portion who have decided who they are going to vote for or against regardless of what he says or does politically. There is no point in pandering to those. He needs to swing the ones in middle, like it or not, that’s how you win. Joe didn’t win the last election, trump lost. Every time he got on Twitter and chased the pointless likes during his time in the Oval Office, he was doing damage that ended up biting him in the [BLEEP] November of 2020. I remember after the first debate in 2020 coming into work(where we have a very mixed bag of people) and seeing a small sample of what was to come. The right leaning were saying how terrible joe looked and how right trump was in his attacks and the left reciprocated that in reverse, but the people who were sort apathetic to politics seemed almost shocked at how much a rambling mess trump came off as in the end. I remember the sentiment sort of being “did he eat a ton of adderall? He couldn’t stop himself”. Unfortunately, those same apathetic people have a vote that count exactly as much as yours and, like it or not, coming across favorably to them will pay massive dividends in November.

Haha, you are buying their brainwashing hook line and sinker. They are trying to rewrite history and make Kamala joyful. She is anything but that. There's tons of videos of her where she isn't, although they are trying to wipe those from the internet.

Plus this hope and change doesn't work when you are the one in power right now and there is nothing stopping her from doing it right now.

Not sure where you are getting these odds from but probably the poly market stuff. That is all being paid for by the Kamala campaign. Go look at all the bot and paid posts that are spamming those markets. You are being gaslighted. The entire Kamala campaign is smoke and mirrors. They are spending all of Joe's money for ads, bots, influencers, etc. Then you have paid guests, free concerts that she speaks at, and AI creating this gaslighting campaign.

Poly is 52-46 but it’s not just that. Vegas odds Trump was -300 two weeks ago and now he’s underdog. I went on every betting and market predicting site. Trump is not ahead in any of them. He’s shifted to being the heavy favorite to officially the underdog. It’s her race to lose now. That’s simply the state of the race right now unfortunately. People apparently don’t care about inflation anymore.

People apparently don’t care about inflation anymore.

Just curious where Poly had Shipario in the odds of being VP.

Don't answer. That was a rhetorical question.

Yup. Only problem they have is that Elon owns X now and it isn't working.

I'm more curious as to why the party of DEI passed on a candidate like Shipario.  It certainly looked to me like he was their better democrat candidate.

Well gee.  Thanks for pointing out my deficiencies even though you know nothing about me.  And you glean this all from ten or so posts, none of which offered support for either candidate.  Pretty impressive.
