There is wave one of the cut-down.

Literally the most un-spicy list of cut players ever, unless you happened to be a Breeland Speaks truther I guess.

The easiest fat to cut. The toughest cut's will be tomorrow. Surprise cut's maybe early Tuesday.

They working the phones. Maybe pick up a trade to those teams with a poor waiver wire position. Saints playing now and their D-line is getting pushed around by the Titans.

Curious what they decide to do at safety between Wingard and Gipson.

I have not heard, and I am assuming they will temporarily save a roster spot by putting him on "IR eligible to return during the season."

With both Speaks and Scates gone our SB window has firmly closed

Dewey will be IR'd, Gipson doesn't take a spot while he's suspended, Edmunds likely makes the cut initially.

Agreed, what I was driving at with my question.

I think Trammell is the intriguing guy on this year's roster. Like Duvernay, he brings more to the team than just ST reps. He's scrappy, and that's what you want from that bottom of the roster guy.

If they cut him, chances are someone else will give him a shot. I agree with you, I think Tim Jones is the surprise cut, they keep Trammel, but they also give Jones a hefty bonus to hang on the PS and dump all his knowledge on Trammell.

How crazy would it be if they kept both Trammel AND Tim?

Which position are you cutting from though to keep 7 receivers?

I just don’t see folks fascination with Jones. Cooks brings more to the table

Oline, LB, and Corner. I also think they still have enough tweeners on the Dline that we might not keep as many as I thought. 5 guys not named Josh and Travon means they only keep 7 when I thought it could be 9 initially.

That spot is a Teams spot and Jones is an all pro compared to Cooks in that regard. As a pass catcher they are about the same.

I see that Riley Patterson got cut again, poor guy.

No way you cut from the offensive line. Too risky with this group. Would favor your theory on the defensive front though. Makes the most logical sense.

If every player after the 8th guy is fungible then there's no need to keep 9 or 10 on the active roster. Just put some guys on the PS and call them up as needed.

You had the right of it.

Looks like they're somewhat comfortable with the defensive front after trading Gipson to Seattle today.

Good call.

Trevis Gipson trade basic info:
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal...o-seahawks

Probably a 6th or 7th round pick coming our way for a guy we signed to a small contract in free agency.

Jags must feel good about some individual or combo of Coleman, Cole and Gaziano to become their DE depth, or maybe they are in talks for a trade there. I think they they like their own young guys to spell Walker and Allen.

Don't forget - Neislen supposedly has packages that use OLBs rushing wide off the edge too.

What do you guys think of Otowemo? I really liked what I saw out of him in preseason. Strong, has a motor. If they can find a trade part for RRH, that would free up a spot.

zero picks expended 1 pick acquired. I can't help but think it is a 6th possibly or better based on playing time, for some reason the 6th round seems to be the default every time. Also a 1.1 million cap save and only 42.5k dead money.
