I just really hate change and I really don't want to leave Jacksonville.

Born and raised here my whole life. All 36 years. Would like to keep it that way if possible. I know it's not realistic. Change is inevitable. Change is constant.

But, man, I sure do hate it. I guess, if I can endure it? I should shut up and endure it, eh?

Sorry guys, with unrealized gains tax you are going to pay a 44% tax on your equity before you sell it.  No issue a large corporation will bail you out and pay the tax for you in exchange for a nice low price. Oh and if you inherit such a property the brand new 65% estate tax will have you what 9% in the hole?  Honestly did Kamela fail math (65% +44% =109%)

As for #3.  My 2 cents.  Our government has proved one thing over time.  They cannot no matter what they do keep people from getting things that are banned. The English found this out as well. Thus the revolutionary war.  Next prohibition which gave rise to organized crime.  Then the war on drugs which seem to have given rise to all kinds of gangs and such. The real issue is these laws are followed only by the honest citizen. Criminals just ignore them. Then human nature kicks in, as someone decides breaking the law is cool or submits to the temptation to try. and Voila !  a basically honest person is now a criminal. You get the idea.

What this tells me is since we will fail to keep people from this, make de criminalize it and tax the poop out of it. Now place guidelines on it to protect the general population. No driving, no putting airplanes together, no committing crimes to support your habit and no buying it for children.  Just like the failure to take advantage of the educational system, the lottery/gambling, tobacco and alcohol it will serve as another life filter and those partaking in excess will take themselves out of the game. It will then remove the funding of gangs and criminals. So after this long winded post why not?

ps, this is why gun control is only wanted so they can impose unfair laws on people. Those guys a long time ago knew what they were doing. LOL

False, marijuana has significant medicinal uses. Epilepsy, Crohn's, Cancer, and M.S. are just a few of the conditions it's helping to treat every day. Therapeutic uses for PTSD, Stress, and Anxiety are more effective than prescription drugs and other forms of self medication like drinking and drug use. I don't personally use it, but to say there's nothing good about it is plain wrong.

And I'm for removing any laws about it aside from impairment laws.

Good points.  I will change my statement to: There's nothing good about recreational marijuana.

There's nothing good about a lot of recreational things. Marijuana is no better or worse than many other forms of recreation, your stance is just personal preference.

To me it should be treated like tobacco and alcohol, regulate it, tax it and legalize it. 

I am concerned about the idea they want to make all smoking tobacco and marijuana illegal outside. Most businesses already have no smoking signs but if it’s going to be illegal to smoke in my car or in a public open area where do you expect people to smoke?

Yes.  I lived in Jacksonville for 15 years and back then a roach would get you locked up.  I know live in the northeast and smoke every day.  Its my buzz of choice instead of alcohol and way less dangerous.  Only the old time reefer madness generation is really against it.

I don't particularly care one way or another.  I am not a marijuana user (currently).  In my younger days I used to smoke it a lot, but that was many, many years ago.  The last couple of times I have tried a little bit it made me physically sick (as in puking my guts out).  I also don't like the fact that after "coming down" and the next day I tend to feel very tired and lazy.

On one hand, I don't really care what adults decide to put into their bodies whether it's tobacco or marijuana smoke.  I do think that certain areas outdoors should be designated as "smoking areas" that are out of the way of the general public.  As an example, I don't smoke marijuana but my daughter does.  She came to visit once and went out on our back porch to do her thing.  When I walked out later to sit on the porch and enjoy my refreshment, the smell was awful.  So now if she comes to visit the designated area for her is away from the porch or the house.

On the other hand, I don't really want a bunch of stoned people on the highways.  I don't buy the "I can drive better when I'm stoned" argument that I hear from so many people.  Under the influence means "impaired" and they are still impaired whether they believe it or not.  Some of our highways and roadways are dangerous enough without having a bunch of impaired drivers.

As far as medical use, I am pretty much for it.  I watched a few family members go through some tough times dealing with cancer, MS and other inflictions that told me that a bit of marijuana made them feel better.  If I had a condition that was painful or uncomfortable I would much rather get stoned rather than take some kind of strong opioid pain killer.

Some people on here already know what I went though.. Long story short, 15 surgeries, about half were of the life saving variety. That was only a few years ago. As soon as my almost 4 month stay up in a hospital in Georgia was up and free to go home, I recuperated a little, ditched the pain pills and got my medical marijuana card. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only was the pain pills zapping more life out of me, they're so dangerous!!

I went straight to weed and haven't looked back since.. I'll probably be on it for the rest of my life, which the weed makes it so much more manageable now.

For some reason, the weed made me want to get healthier as well. I'll smoke a joint, drink tons of water and pig out on health food when stoned lol

Lots of water, veggies, lean meats and eggs!!

Now I'm fit as a fiddle, high as a kite and happy as hell. The wife see's a huge change in me!! I gotta be around for her, ya know?

Different strains for different ailments.. I like hybrids but love indicas. Although, it basically boils down to the terpenes. I always go for the "kill the pain" strain. Grape Ape and Blackberry Kush are my must go-to's.. Both are heavy indicas and will help with body pain.

Sativas are basically for head highs. Pretty good if you're going to be active.
