Chiefs-Ravens (Week 1)

Agreed but it's much too late for that now.

Chiefs have a good defense. One of the youngest units in the NFL being coached by honestly this generation's Dick LeBeau.
Spags is a damn good coach. He'll be in the HoF. I expect Baltimore to get better with Henry. What killed Baltimore last night was weak interior line play on offense. Baltimore also not having anybody deep to find is nothing new. They haven't had a true deep threat there in years. At least not a healthy one. Credit Spags defense though. They let Lamar do his thing on the ground, but, they clinched when they had to. Tucker's missed 53 yarder and Lamar's fumble that lead to KC getting 3 was a 6 point swing this team can't afford against a 3x SB winning staff and QB. That's really what it came down to. Penalties were about the same, Ravens had 6 more minutes of time of posession and they just didn't have the explosive plays KC kept finding. I'll say this though. Taylor gets away with a ton of [BLEEP] still, even if he's the most penalized player from last year, it STILL feels like that son of a [BLEEP] gets away with more. I left Likely on my bench, I thought for sure he'd be second fiddle to Andrews

Thought I had enough sense to put him in the flex in one of them. Won't make that mistake again. They used him creatively last night, against one of the better defenses in the NFL. I fully expect more of that from them. Mahomes also missed him wide open at one point in the first half. I know Rice's situation is up in the air with the whole felony situation, but, this team is probably going to be a lot better than it was last year offensively. A three peat is likely. Speaking of likely though. Likely looked good last night. Andrews just turned 29 today and he's in year three or four now of his contract extension he signed back in 2021. It's possible we'll begin seeing him phased out in favor of Likely. Good for him. I really liked that TE class that year when Likely came out. Figured he would be pretty good. Him, McBride and Kolar (Who also ended up in Baltimore) were my main TE targets that draft. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I still for the life of me can't figure out how Luke Farrell is still on our roster. That fella is the epitome of Just A Guy (J.A.G.) and yet we see great prospects passed over in favor of keeping him around. And it seems like every game they start out with a Luke Farrell reception for 6 yards and then *poof* he's not heard from again until the first drive next week. Meanwhile guys that we all liked including LIkely, Greg Dulcich, LaPorta, Darnell Washington...not to mention Laporta, Freirmuth...end up on other teams because we passed them over. Ugh...

I don't get your complaint. We have arguably one of the top 5 starting TEs in the league. We spent a 2nd round pick on a TE in the second round last year. Of all the position rooms on the team, QB, TE and Edge are all great right now.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude. Next season I want him gone.

Last night, Lamar looked like a tier one RB and a tier three passer.
Not always the case with him, but he's gotta be more accurate We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
