Our Defense only gave up a total of 20 points over 3 games in the Preseason. 13 of which came against the Chiefs.

Over those 3 games we outscored our opponents 77-20. Of course it's just Preseason but yea.

I predict 5 sacks from the defense as the floor.  I predict Tua will be on his heels all day long.  Miami will have their moments but I believe they will not be enough.

Miami plays too fast on offense.  Not much time to get to Tua and their receivers are too fast/quick.  I just don't see the Jaguars secondary holding up against them.  I predict that Miami will be able to move the ball down the field rather quickly.  Putting it in the endzone?  That might be a factor.

Miami's defense is questionable.  If the Jaguars can establish a good run game along with mixed short passes, they can get the "home run" deep play every now-and-then.  They need to get at least 4 yards on every ETN or Tank play.

The bottom line is that the Jaguars defense has to control the speedy/quick receivers and not let them get open.  At the same time the defensive line needs to get after Tua and disrupt his timing.

I am not. I saw enough of Davis, Washington, Duvernay and BTJ to have more confidence this year Vs. last year. I think today it's Engram and Etienne that need to take over the game. As far as keeping the down and distances short and moving the chains in general. Those two should be today's staple.

The offensive starters showed good efficiency in pre season, I look to see that continue. I will also be watching the defensive line hoping we can rattle Tua a lot and not let them burn us deep with Waddle and Hill. At the same time, we can't let Mostert and Achane beat us either.

The narrative goes to [BLEEP] though once you start asking questions internally. Everybody knows who is calling the shots or putting the most input towards the offensive installments week-to-week. There's no grand conspiracy at work here or secret formula to Pederson's vanilla ice cream. 

If it comes down to having to move on or shake up the staff again in 2025? Khan will investigate the matter, ask the starters on offense and the back-up's on offense who did what, how things flowed, etc. It's really hard to cover up things like that with that many people involved and personalities involved. 

Look at how fast the wheels came off the bus in 2018. When your main two defenders from the 2017 defense started yapping and wanting out of Jacksonville. They immediately threw Coughlin under the bus. Same thing would happen in 2025 during the off season if the offense imploded here in 2024 with expectations set high by ownership and the staff and team itself. 

I don't think they'll fail this year. I see them winning and succeeding enough to where they match the same results of 2022's play-off results. Rauscher probably gets canned before Taylor though.

Khan has already said he wants Pederson to be the play caller.  Doug might call plays and if it works give the credit to Press to make him look good. Doug might have Press draw up the first 10 and then take over from there or vise versa. 

Or Press could be the only one calling plays but if so he would be on a very short lease being Khan wants to win now and he wants Doug calling plays.  Maybe a 1 game short leash?  Its possible Press might call plays today and if we don't get good results I think Doug could start calling plays as soon as next week.

At my Publix you maybe see one 750 bottle of BT a week. They put it on the counter, not even a spot on the shelf. I haven't seen a liter bottle like the one I got in that store in a couple years. I usually can find one at Broudy's at Marsh Landing, but that's about it in my area.
