Poll: Which of the following best describes your outlook on Travon Walker ? This poll is closed. |

He's not an edge rusher. Put 20 pounds on him and move him inside. | 10 | 8.33%
Still has work to do as a pass rusher but I see improvement. Let's see how it goes. Inside stunts are enough to get him matched against guards. | 37 | 30.83%
He's going to be a beast. I trust the process. | 31 | 25.83%
Bust | 27 | 22.50% | |
I wish we'd just switch to a 4-3, leave him outside and put his hand in the ground. | 8 | 6.67%
Blank #2 | 3 | 2.50% | |
corn | 4 | 3.33% | |

Travon Walker: 2nd Year Thoughts Etc (merged)

PFF has our dline ranked 26th in the league. That's insane imo if Armstead and Hamilton are healthy. If all 4 are healthy we have a top 5 group imo.

It's somewhat fair. A lot of it is predicated on last year. We had nobody outside of Walker and Allen in the pass rushing department. It was abysmal, non existent without the two of them. Armstead missed five games last year and eight games the previous year. Hamilton, again, never really showed much on the stat sheet during his first three years, looked good in the preseason and then he was absent due to injury. He's an unknown commodity really. Then, they drafted Maason Smith, a guy out of LSU recovering from an injury from two years ago. Jefferson also added, but, he's more of a space eater and gap controller than an actual disruptor. Which is fine. We need all the help we can get. Not sure about top 5. That's a little too generous. I think Walker and Allen should at least have this group within the 16th range though. With Armstead, Hamilton, Smith and Jefferson all holding up physically and contributing? Maybe a top 10 unit. Maybe. Top 5 though? Damn, would love to see it, but, let's learn to crawl a little bit before we walk. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Damn I didn't realize he had 2. The one I remember he bulldozed through the o-lineman and then hit Tua's foot which tripped him up for the sack.

He got an easy one earlier on in the game when Tua tried to run and gave himself up behind the LOS. He two hand tagged him when he was on the ground. Walker's going to get better this year as Armstead and Smith improve inside along with Hamilton. Also, that's not a bad showing against one of the fastest offenses from snap to execution yesterday. I can't wait to see what he does against teams that actually struggle offensively this year. This defense will be a strength. There's no doubt about it. Walker is poised to have a monster year. A lot of lineman yesterday got away with their hands inside the cookie jar with our front four. Should have been A LOT more offensive holding calls flagged. A LOT more. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. And I definitely think his best football is still to come.

So Aidan had 4.5 sacks today… Travon still working on a secondary pass rush move lol.
I'll say it here too
I loved how they took him out of the game in some passing situations or they put him in coverage lol I am a fan, not a cheerleader. We show less advertisements to registered users.
