The Jaguars are losers! 0-2 & Who is to blame why the offense sucks? 15ppg!

It seems like the same old Jags team. Beat in the trench's and can't get it done on offense. Not quite to 'on to next year' but a loss to the browns and miami is pretty disheartening at this point, cause I dont' consider the browns a playoff team.

Don't you dare point a finger at Trevor. It's not his fault. I know this from being on this board for the last four years.
I know he's getting 400 million, but he is NOT responsible for this offenses struggles. Blame the OLine, the coaches, the receivers or even the cheerleaders, but not TLaw.

An elite offensive line will win games with anyone at QB. +1 re. the O line and the spent money. On the semi positive side: We lost 2 close games against marginal playoff teams from last year. The Ravens are also 0-2. Maybe we can rebound from a disappointing start.

For one of the first times I think its Trevor. He just does not do enough to elevate the team. He executes the play when they are there (TD to Kirk that was called back), sometimes he misses the plays when they are there and often times he executes a bad play. I expect him to elevate the design, the O-line and the team. Everyone has issues at O-Line, everyone calls bad play, but the QB is supposed to go and make a play, and he does not do that often enough.

Whole lot of dumb [BLEEP] coming from posters who haven't posted here in a long time.
I guess once the defense starts playing like the Steel Curtain and holding opponents to 10 points or less per game we'll see the offensive guru awaken in Doug and Press.
You would think holding Miami to 20 and Cleveland to 16 would be enough for this world beater of an offensive staff to get 21 points and 17 points respectively, but, we're just not there yet. I guess this team is mentally weak still on offense and hasn't matured enough or learned enough from 2022 and 2023 to overcome redzone fumbles and redzone TD's negated by illegal shifts. I mean, the short yardage running attack will eventually work. In spite of just winning 1 game in the last 8 or 9 outings. Terrible OL play and poor play calling, on top of just stupid penalties/mistakes. A couple of things:
1 - The OL Is just pitiful. The interior continues to whiff on blocks, all 3 of them. On the safety, #76 just looks like a complete moron. On the play where D'Ernest Johnson almost scored, he had to bounce it outside because Scherff whiffed. This happens multiple times per game. It's a huge reason we can't get 1 yard and can't find any offensive consistency. We have the weapons to throw downfield, but if you can't block long enough to let them get down there it doesn't matter. 2 - Trevor looked very frustrated on the sideline multiple times, especially when we kicked the FG instead of going for the TD on 4th down after the illegal shift penalty. I also found his post game press conference VERY odd when he called out everyone from players to coaches. Feels like something bad is brewing in the locker room. Doug has a history of this in Philly with Wentz, and I feel like something is happening. They have no rhythm or consistent play caller and it shows on offense. It's no coincidence that the only time we found rhythm is when we went no huddle/hurry. I'm not a huge proponent of blaming coaches, because at the end of the day if your players are good enough to execute the play it shouldn't matter, but I really feel like it's making a difference here.
They're cooked. You watch. They're going to go up to Buffalo next Monday and get [BLEEP] WRECKED, and then the can of worms will open up finally and we'll have our come to the Football God's moment hopefully and they do what needs to be done within the coaching staff.

Untimely sacks, uninspiring football until we had momentum in the fourth quarter out of nowhere. How about go into the game with that kind of urgency and intensity? Spero Dedes is coming for more filler Jaguars games.. it's just more of the same old junk. YES! Start the game thinking it's 0-10 already, we need points and we need them NOW. We need yards and we need them NOW. Too often it feels like we are dipping our toes into the water, tentative play. Dive in, none of this feeling things out. IIRC same for the year before that. That's beside the point though, last year's book is closed. This is this year, and we should be performing better than we are. The coaches must unify the groups. Whether that is simplifying everything until we get the basics down, or shifting focus to one aspect, they must put the team in position to yield results. I don't see that happening yet, we are just too good at painting ourselves into a corner or shooting ourselves in the foot. Stupid errors have to stop.
I know this for sure,I tweeted to @jaguars they suck worse then the 0-17 lions, and browns combined cause we do. I doubt it does any good cause the team doesn't care about winning. They enjoy loseing. they love to lose. thats why they will always be LOSERVILLE!!!!!

NFL remains an inferior product. The rule changes are lame the play is fantasy driven. The shame is we are in a piss poor management cycle with a few outlier seasons.
Let's face it, the flashy WR pick bought excitement over real building activities. No matter who they drop under center, the management arrogantly refuses to do the work. It is a shame that we burned TLaw's first season and we got hype in year two. Until it changes it looks the same.

Everyone has issues at O-Line, everyone calls bad play, but the QB is supposed to go and make a play, and he does not do that often enough. Seriously, why do people not have common sense anymore? Trevor Lawrence is NOT a magician. This man has shown leadership skills most QBs around the league envy, but that skill doesn’t magically make a bad line great or make a fool of an OC into an offensive genius. These are grown men, not children who need someone to hold their hand. You have a poor understanding of expectations. He can only elevate them when they work as intended. This is a team sport. You don’t blame the QB when the O-line blocks poorly. You don’t blame QB when his OC makes poor decisions that puts players at a complete disadvantage from play to play. If you HAVE to blame a person, you can blame the head coach for not managing his staff on game day. Yes, a QB is supposed to go and make a play, but opportunity is required. How does opportunity happen? When the coaching staff puts their players in position to make a play. Calling a play with a 5-step drop that close to your own end zone not only puts your line in a bad position (whether they are good or not), it puts your QB in a bad position as well. They could have called a shotgun play if they really thought rushing wasn’t an option (which it was, there was time on the clock AND TOs available), but Taylor didn’t think clearly enough and we ended up with a safety and ultimately, the loss. The offensive line collectively has become more important than the QB position. A below-average QB will excel with an a good offensive line. A good QB will struggle with a below-average offensive line. Most of the time, you cannot afford both. A good offensive line elevates the entire offense. Offensive line >> QB.
