Israel’s crotch bombs

(This post was last modified: 09-17-2024, 06:31 PM by EricC85.)

This is crazy, apparently they loaded up pagers with malware and made them explode today. Who knew that was even a thing?

But that leads me to my question was it terrorism on Israel’s part? I get the argument they have to bomb parts where civilians are because militants hide there but there’s no way they could track all these pagers they blew up.

Is there any concern someone else could do this to our devices? From what I’m reading they just used malware to rapidly heat up the ion batteries causing them to explode. Pretty sure most our hand held devices have ion batteries.

I read a report that Isreal had intercepted the shipment of pagers from a company in Taiwan. They modified the devices with a small amount of explosives. They had a switch in planted that would detonate when commanded. They then sent a message to all the papers appearing as if the message had come from Hezbollah leadership. After a few seconds, the device would trigger giving time for the user to take it from there pocket and hold it near their face to read the message.

That would certainly explain why video of the hospitals are full of people missing parts of there hand and face.

Was it explosives? I read they just used malware to heat up the ion batteries rapidly and that caused the explosions

I heard on tv tonight that they put a small amount of explosives in the pagers, but who really knows.

What’s really hilarious about all this is the fact that all these people stopped using cell phones because they thought Israel could listen in on them. Laughing

Pagers don't run "programs", so it would be hard to create something small enough to fit on whatever small amount of storage is available. Simplier answer is there had to be explosive material added to do that damage. Newer batteries also won't allow things like this to happen. If they bought cheap batteries, it could heat up but I doubt anyone would be holding it if it was hot enough to explode.

The company in Taiwan is saying they did not make the pagers but had licensed the manufacture of them to a company in Budapest.

It does make one think about unconventional warfare, and how easy it is for an adversary to disrupt our lives in a major way.

I read the same article and a few more. Their are many reports and the facts just are not clear yet. Hezbollah leadership itself admitted they were not sure how the pagers exploded other than "it must be this way".  If we wait the facts will eventually be sorted out. Who did this? well that is also undetermined. To determine that you first need to understand what/how it was done.

It’s being reported that there’s been another round of explosions from “communication devices”. Some set off during the funerals of people killed yesterday.

The Israelis really know how to stir up a hornet’s nest.

I mean, if you think about it, it kinda makes sense from a tactical view. The beepers were for the foot soldiers, the radios are for staff.

They're blowing their way up the ladder..

Ohhhh.. Sounds like a Kamala documentary..

Okay, I laughed at that.

But I wonder, can there be anything else?  Foot soldiers, staff, where can it go from here?
