We’re tied with panthers at 1-7 for worst record over past 8 games.

We have to stop the bleeding this week.

This team currently does not have the character and fortitude to overcome these odds.  We will be relegated to  playing spoiler for other teams playoff hopes.  I guess that's something.

0-3 is horrible, but the stat is definitely misleading. Think we should be looking at 2020 and onwards since there now is 17 games, as opposed to 16. This clearly changes things drastically. The worst thing is, we just will look back on these past 2 games as "ah should of won those". The offense needs some way to move the chains. 3rd and 2 or 1 needs to be more automatic, seems like we NEVER can run for the first down on those. The short passing game really shouldn't be this off either with Kirk and Engram. Every good team can consistently convert on 3rd and short. We clearly cannot. That needs to change or the season is lost.

Smith and Foster being healthy scratches is really crazy.

The season is still early, but man...  This can spiral out of control really quick.  I don't expect us to beat the Bills.  But I expect us to at least look competent again.  If we come out on Monday night and lay another egg on offense that results in 0-3, then it would be appropriate to determine the season is likely over.

But if we actually look like a legit offense and we fight hard and lose by 1 possession, I think I'd continue to think we have a shot.

The Houston game, that's the game I'm thinking is gonna be the thing that either flushes us down the toilet, or potentially launches us onto a wild card run.  (I don't think we have a chance at the Division title if we go 0-3 and Houston is 3-0)

We were done in the off season when we went with a dollar store retread line that we paid millions for.

This is a good point...  Just to add to it...  After the Bills loss, which I think is inevitable, we have the Texans, clots, bears, and patriots.  Those are 4 winnable games, so long as the offensive coaching actually can wake the [BLEEP] up.  We could very well be 4-3 before Halloween.  Worst case, 3-4 if we lose to the Texans.

4-3, or 3-4 puts us right in the middle of a wildcard push.  10 wins.  10 wins will get us to the playoffs.

Bottom line for me is that there are still 10 winnable games on this schedule if the offense just cleans up their bull [BLEEP] by about 60-70%

Lort only knows if they are able to do that, but we've seen them get rolling before, so...

We're lucky that some of the top teams that would be vying for Wild Card spots against us are also struggling...  So there's a chance we can still pull this off - even with a loss to the Bills.  I just want to see us play tough against the Bills.  A win would be great, but I just want to see the offense get right.  Lessen the 3 and outs.  Start consistently move the ball.  Give the D some rest...

If we can play like we did against the Dolphins for 1st half and that drive in the 3rd Quarter, I think we can hang with them.

Was under the impression they felt Ledbetter was better suited match up wise initially, but, it was then reported for conduct reasons.

Not sure really. He did draw 2 holding calls against Miami though. Would think he's active against Buffalo.

The stats are actually worse (so far) for a team in the 17 game season era.

"The last 0-3 team to make the postseason was the 2018 Houston Texans. Since the league expanded to a 17-game regular season schedule in 2021, the feat has not been accomplished."

In a 17 game season being 0-3 does not eliminate you from playoff contention, but it does make it an uphill climb. Maason and Javon were health scratches for game 2 because they are playing positions where we are extremely heavy roster wise. I have watched every season of Jaguar football and can never remember us going into a year with 7 DT’s or 5 OT without carrying any injured players who were unable to dress on the roster. These are absurdly high numbers to protect our developmental guys.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Best case scenario is that other players should have been drafted instead of them.

No, best case is they both need a year like most rookies do. Or that Smith and Jefferson are serious contributions by year end. Or that Walker is the starter next year. Lots of best case scenarios include those guys.

Well, today the Texans lost (2-1), tacks lost (0-3), and the clots (1-2) won....
So now it's beat the bills (2-0) or join the tacks in last place.

Even the lowly Panthers are leading by 20 points over the raiders and look on their way to a win after plugging

I never like to be the stereotypical negative fan, but the way things are looking, we are more likely to end up with a Top 5 draft pick than than we are of a trip to the playoffs. Doug and Trent have lost this team. They aren't rebelling against them, but no one on the field seems to have an answer, and the coaching staff obviously doesn't either.
