Maybe they SHOULD consider giving Nielsen the reigns in the interim if this team continues to fail. At least his squad, regardless of who is in and out the line-up. Seem to play somewhat hard for him and respond to him adjustments wise. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? In Staffords 4th year in the league, the Lions went 4-12. Stafford had 20 TDs and 17 interceptions with below 60% completion. And I'm not saying Trevor is as good as Stafford. Stafford is elite. What I'm saying is at the point in his career, people were questioning if Stafford had the goods. Just like this situation here. I still don't like the way he's not getting Armstead on the field with JHA & TW, but... he did show he could adjust in-game yesterday with his back seven. (kinda have to when you give up a thousand yards in the first half) Anyway, I'm not crowning anyone on that staff right now, but McCoy would ostensibly need to be OC if they fire the guys everyone hates right now, there are no other qualified guys in house, so Nielsen at HC would make sense. Kris Richard (DB coach) has had multiple interviews in the past for DC jobs. He'd likely be fine there. I just wonder if Khan is thinking bye-week or January.

It would have to be over by that point. I think the situation with London presents a difficult challenge. We'll see. I am keeping the faith. It just takes one win. They almost had it yesterday. They're getting warmer. Maybe they turn the corner this Sunday at home, then they rip off two wins in London to get up to 3 - 4 against teams they should be further along than. They should beat the Bears and Patriots in London. They really should. They then get to see if they've built any momentum to contend within their weight class as Shipley put it. Packers and Eagles are teams that are tough, but, they have their issues. You have a puncher's chance to win against them in my opinion. So, we'll see. It'll be funny as hell if we look back in six weeks and this team is all of a sudden 6 - 4. I have to keep the faith. Help me faith. LOL. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. McCoy already proved he is not a good HC but he is capable as a OC. Imo there is no point in keeping Baalke and Pederson. I don't see Pederson making the changes necessary or even being capable of turning the team around right now. Only reason to keep them is if you want the #1 pick. Anyway, an interim HC could bring a spark to the team and we wouldn't have to see this [BLEEP] show... and maybe some players could show progress. If you are a Trevor fan you should be wanting this because there is no way he improves if the team stays this way. I am a fan, not a cheerleader.
I'd have to consider promoting Nielsen to interim head coach at this point. I'd have to know whether Lawrence has lost confidence in Pederson at this point. Of course,Pederson isn't to blame for the 2 terrible overthrows, but something has to change. My guess is that they wait at least until after the Indy game. If they lose at home to Indy, Khan may have to act then or nobody will be showing up for the remainder of home games.
Can't say I know whether Nielsen has what it takes to be a head coach. I do like his fiery demeanor and he has had success as a DC. Pederson may simply be burned out and ready to rest on his laurels as a Super Bowl winner with a statue outside Bud Light Stadium in Philly.

One game out of four though, the other three have been respectable enough in my opinion considering the amount of personnel challenges he's had to face with key injuries. I think Nielsen gets his breakout game with us this Sunday against the clots man. I really do. Expect a 27 to 10 win over them. Flacco gets buried 5x, tosses 2 INT's. His show needs to come to a close already. Sick of seeing him. Nielsen's going to get it done this Sunday. It's all coming together man. what does Minshew and the Raiders beating the Browns yesterday tell you?
Coaching? QB? OC?
Because Jaguars is our mantra

Not sure what the fix is or what it will take, but, it has to start with Khan doing what's right for himself and what's right for his franchise. He really does need to step away from the hiring process and find himself a team to do that for him. I am at least convinced by that. His record as an owner can attest to this. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky.
