Miller wasn't the problem yesterday. Teddy Bruschi would have looked pedestrian between the line play and secondary play we had. It will be nice to have Foye and Miller in the rotation keeping legs fresh.

Did great against the run but was killed in the passing game. More playtime is needed to see how well he improves. Looked promising. Him and Muma both did fine.

The safeties are definitely killing us.

for those unfamiliar with down-under colloquialisms - "chocolate soldiers" or "chocks" or "chocks" refers to reserve militia men and their questionable stamina compared to the active duty enlisted men. 
 In WWII - the term got used as these soldiers were sent to Jungles on Japanese Islands where it was speculated they would "melt in the heat."

Again with the Lloyd hate. He had a tough game against the bills but through the first 2 weeks he was graded out as a top 3 off ball linebacker in the league. Miller is a huge net negative because of his inability to cover anything. He played great against the run tho. 15 years ago he’d be a really good player.

I think Miller and Lloyd both struggle in coverage and it's really early to think we know what Miller is yet anyway. 

He looked great against the run in one game and that's awesome, but let's see how this shakes out. 

I think it's a great "problem" to have if they all develop since we have an out clause in Oluokun's contract after 2025 and Lloyd will be in year 4 in 2025 with a fifth year option. So many different ways it could play out. 

I hated the Miller pick because I wanted linemen so badly - but I'm glad he looks like there's some valuable upside to develop. 

Also gotta remember they are all in year one of a new scheme and team's are gonna try to get them manned up in coverage to take advantage.

He played fine, not great, but he wasn't the problem. The problem was the lack of meaningful pass rush (as usual).

Miller was setting a tone and flying all over the place.  The secondary has been a problem as well outside from Brown. When Campbell comes back i want to see Darby at nickel corner which he has played there at a high level before and Savage at SS. That would be 3 spots upgraded in the secondary.  

I also want to see.

Allen- Armstead-Smith-Walker in a 4 man front.  That would be our best 4 man front we can put on the field.

Oddly we actually needed that many linebackers last week due to injury, but it is absolutely maddening. 

Moving up for Lloyd, I was like: OK, this guy better be good. I can get on board...

Then Muma and I said: Hold on, didn't you just trade up for LB? Oh boy... I guess there's a plan?

Then Miller happened and I can't say what I said but it wasn't kind. 

Foye was signed prior and I loved that decision, so I won't comment there. I also agreed with keeping him since Lloyd's development was still a question mark at the time and Foye was playing so well.

They are all inside linebackers.
 Having 4 of them for your 3-4 is fine, but you don't invest the capital they did on their damn backups when you are literally dead at other positions needing that draft capital.

Pretty much what most of us saw. Basically an early down backer that can thump in the running game but a liability in pass coverage. Same thing written about him coming out of Florida.

Depends. Did the 48 yards result in poor coverage inside the redzone that resulted in points?

Bend but don't break is a thing. What's worse?

Getting roasted for 100 yards that results in 6 points between 2 FG's or getting schooled for 50 that resulted in 14 points between 2 TD's and 2 PAT's?
