Gabe Davis was a very poor free agent addition. He had a couple of huge playoff games with the Bills, but overall his performance was very inconsistent. After losing Ridley at the last minute to the Titans, I believe Baalke panicked and reached for this guy. His 3 year deal at $39 million was a waste of money which could have been better used elsewhere. While Zay Jones has had his share of off the field difficulties, I'd prefer him to Davis. As has been previously mentioned, Parker Washington would likely be more productive than Davis if given the same amount of playing time. If this meant moving Kirk to the outside, the team would still be better off.

I think Davis pays better as the season goes on. He's only 25 and he looks to be running more routes he didn't run in Buf. He's was more of the Bills vertical WR. I think with Engram back we see a lot more vertical routes for Davis and he starts to get more in a rhythm with Trevor along with more attention on BTJ

There is a role for him on this team in this scheme but this was an odd FA addition. He is a young player with lots of experience in the league learning a new system. I look for him to perform better in the season half of the season.

Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency. 


1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

He's a streaky 40 catch a year guy, that's all he is.

He's just a guy.  He's not special.  I'd prefer we move on from Zero.  In my opinion, there are plenty of other WRs in the building that should be getting more reps than Davis.
