I don't see what I asked for, - a final score after the 2-2 halftime score.

I'm guessing there was no more scoring after the last score. Must have been a snoozer in the 2nd half.

You need to re-read.  The final score was given.

oh, so 2-2 was the final score....I guess I mis-read.

Ties suck. Soccer needs to get rid of them. Hockey did.

Why would they televise the game when it conflicts with the Pirates/Cubs game?   Pirates 4-3 in 16 innings !!!

2 extra inning games .... 2 wins with walkoff HRs !!

I actually watched the first few innings of that game. They showed some crowd shots and last night must have been free "We Are Family" era cap night.

I was hoping Pirates pitching would have hit Anthony Rizzo again.

It wasn't 2-2 at halftime. The posted score was the final score.

Why would you care if an exhibition score ended in a tie or not?

Gotta love it. It was a good night for me with soccer, and being able to watch the game go so long. The Pirates have played almost 3 games, and won both! I love the free MLB TV. How long does that last, 2 weeks into the season? Love being able to watch it on Root Sports outta Pittsburgh.

How is it trolling to ask for the score?

On a side note, Julian Green is going to be very good. Last night his inexperience showed, but so did his skill. Give him time in with the USMNT and this kid is going to be something special.

I expect him to be on the WC roster.

I think usually the first week of the season and the first week after the All Star break.

It isn't.

This all stems from them being butt-hurt that I labeled most American born soccer fans as poseurs.

I actually respect the sport of soccer. It has a very worldly long standing tradition. I won't faux-act like it is my favorite sport to try and be hip, and claim an identity though, which is what many American youth do. Its not my favorite, but I'll keep up with it such as the BPL, as a casual observer might. Since Khan owns Fulham, I'll check out their results from time to time, just hoping for Khan's team to do well out of loyalty for him. But, I won't pretend that soccer is my favorite sport and I just love it so much like the phonies try to portray... I'd say maybe 15% of American born Soccer fans are legit.

Trav59, just for the record, I'd put you in the 15%. You seem genuine in your love for the game. Very knowledgable and seemingly real.

Got ya. I would love to be able to get it. I only get to see them when they play the Braves, Rays, or Marlins.

Every sport has fans who are, or appear to be clueless. I can think of many fans like that of college and professional football.

I was serious though....the term "friendly" just bugs me because I believe they should call it what it essentially is - an exhibition/ pre-season game. To me labeling it something else just reeks of faux sophistication to hear Americans call it that. JMO.

It would be if you saw an American coming down the street (in anytown USA) and he asked you "How's the craic" (Irish term)....instead of asking "whats up"?r
