Chad Henne Equal Playoffs ?

#81

Quote:You liked Geno Smith and you like Birdgewater? Lol. I will stop following this team is we blow our first round pick on Bustwater. It's clear as day that this guy can't play in this league. Crappy college competition. Noodle arm. Built like a 12 year old. Tyrod Taylor, Tavares Jackson, Josh Johnson clone. And those guys had arms at least.

So are you a bored tacks fan, bored dolts fan, or a bored tinhorns fan?

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I want to say I do not feel bridgewater is the best pick for the Jaguars.

Henne is going to start regardless and I am curious to see what he can do with a whole offseason and some decent talent around him.

Your curious to see what Chad Henne can do with a full offseason & talent? Ok lol.

Spoilers: It's pretty much what he's already done (more INts than TDs).

Based on what he's done, you'd have to say that with a complete offense and starting 16 games he'd throw for about 4200 yards, 25 TDs and 20 INTs.  Call me crazy, but I'm ok with that in a stop gap QB.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Henne equals transition.  He's not going to be the guy carrying this team to the playoffs.  If the Jags manage to find a way to get into the post season, and he's the QB, you can rest assured it was because the defense was vastly improved, and we did just enough offensively to not lose games.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

He has been the best Qb on this team since Garrards level of play in 2007.  Sad but true.  I think he is going to impress some people

2009 to be exact... but the message is the same.

Henne was the first to pass 3000 yards since Garrard in 2009 while not starting a full season.  Garrard always got the praise, yet Henne gets the finger (figuratively.)

He's our starter, barring some fantastic camp by a rookie (which would be as rare as Russell Wilson's.)  The best starter we've had in five years.  That's nothing unpalatable for a team that's still rebuilding and still a year or two away.

I don't think we should be asking if Henne = play offs...we should be asking If Henne starts all year (or the vast majority of it) who do we pick in the top 3 next year.

Has Chad Henne ever made the playoffs as a starting QB??

He was drafted in 2008 in the 2nd rd at pick # 57 so at this time he is considered an NFL veteran.

I ask again, has Chad Henne ever led his team to the playoffs??

I hear there is a first time for everything, but I have also heard of people asking for/expecting miracles and how often do they really happen??

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I wouldn't expect playoffs for this team no matter who the QB this year.  So, it really doesn't matter.  Henne or anyone else, it isn't likely to happen either way.

Reaching the playoffs is unrealistic.  However, Look who he has played for

A bad dolphins team and a Jaguar team going through it's second rebuild in 5 years.  It's not all on Henne

I agree it's not all on Henne, but after 5 years in the league, is there really that much more upside to CH??

Unfortunately I believe what we have seen from CH the past couple of seasons, will be all we will see for this upcoming season. Sure he will throw in the occasional stretch where he plays above himself and will look really good, but then Henne will resort back to be the Henne we all know and unfortunately, expect to see.

If you're seeking more upside from Henne, then you really don't understand why he was re-signed.

Bridges get you there.  They don't make the destination, they help you reach it.  That destination is our next franchise QB, who Henne is not, and we aren't likely to find him this year either.

Have you done some sort of DNA swap with a certain oft-banned poster on here?
