You said it's hard to understand we are 2-6 with the team we have. So, what about this team are you having a hard time understand that it's 2-6. I laid it out roster wise, and coaching is absurdly bad. It's a dumpster fire. Maybe you aren't aware but its very much either you need really good roster depth w/ good coaching or star power. We have.... no roster depth, zero star power, and horrible coaching. I don't even know how this is debatable.

It is not my fault anything is happening with Kahn. Also, I believe there is very little chance no matter what is written on this board it will influence him either. Your allowed an opinion, but at the end of the day that is all it is. I see what you are saying but like I stated I feel this is an average roster with a lot of young players. It is not devoid of talent as you are portraying. We disagree. I have never said it was a good roster. Talented teams that makes lots of unforced errors lose a lot of games. It happens. But this team isn't that. I thought it was that, but there is a glaring lack of talent in the secondary. There is a lack of talent at IDL (even if the coaches worsens the problem with asinine packages/rotation) The otherwise good QB manages to insert enough mistakes in around 30% of the games to piss away wins. The receivers are leading the league in drops again - but look very talented when they aren't doing that. They are all hurt now, so, good luck Tim Jones, Parker Washington and multiple TE formations for a while. The OL has totally sucked in 5 games this year. We have one LB that isn't a total liability in coverage. On paper, it seemed we fixed a lot of problems last offseason. No so much it turns out. Now - this team ABSOLUTELY could be a 4-4, team right now pretty easily by just eliminating about 50% of the stupid mistakes - so there's your heartbreaking silver-lining if you want one. It's probably talented enough for that, but not smart enough or disciplined enough apparently. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

It didn't end how we wanted (again) but it tells me the team is capable of playing with the decent teams that of which we have coming up. At least before half the team left with injuries.. The Packers were playing on the road with their starting QB hobbled and then forced to leave the game. Packers had to deal with just as many injuries as the Jaguars. A healthy Jordan Love and this game isn't competitive. That's why I think the games against the Lions, Viking, etc. will be VERY ugly and could be as bad or worse as the Bills game.

I agree with this, Dolphins/Browns/Texans/Packers all 1 score games. That falls on coaching. Agreed. However, as you pointed out.... so many damn holes on this team and the depth is just not there. It just wasn't what it was perceived on paper, especially after the Nielsen hype. This guy was supposed to elevate the defense. LOL! You can make them suggest whatever you want them to. Defense gave up 30+ points but the offense HANDED the Packers guaranteed points - and thats after they created an interception, only for it to be given right back by Trevor. It's all situationally dependent. If your offense doesn't muster up a first down until late in the 2nd quarter and your defense continually held their offense at bay - I'd day the offense is more at fault, especially with those detrimental turnovers. Obviously the defense gave up the the score on the final drive and they are solely responsible for that - which I've exhausted all criticisms about them in the FIRE NIELSON thread if you must need something to massage your side of the argument here. Trevor and this offense can't simply sputter in their place and get their first 1st down until almost half time, or fumble the ball on our 10 yard line, or throw an interception to give the Packers great field position again. It works both ways and both units are not helping each other - however, the magnitude of mistakes definitely skews more towards the offensive woes than the defense. As I've been saying all year, did you all really expect this defense to be a cracked up unit? If so, you should have tempered your expectations. However, this offense run by our generationally talented QB in his 4th year and a plethora of weapons from BTJ, CKirk, Engram, ETN, and Bigsby was expected to be a high octane, high-scoring offense that could keep us in games where its a shootout. This defense, at best, was built to keep us in games where our prolific offense could outpace opposing teams by scoring points. We show less advertisements to registered users. Yeah, stats can be twisted, but why would only turnovers by the Jaguars matter, and Trevor's in particular? The defense gave up those TDs, they weren't returned against the offense. If the defense could have held the packers to a FG on either then the Jaguars may have won the game, though it really looks like no matter how well Trevor played the defense wouldn't have held on.
This is a talented team that is coached poorly. I've been saying for so long.
Yeah, the secondary has holes, but it's not as if this team is a 2-6 team. This is a team that should be playing for a playoff spot. Instead, we're a tomato can team. This team is the exact same thing that caused Philly to dump Dougie and his boy. This is a poorly coached team. Whatever you want to say about Trent Baalke is fine. But if you can't realize that these players are under performing, I don't know what to tell ya. It's obvious to everyone that is willing to accept reality. This team is poorly coached. Maybe this roster isn't a Super Bowl roster, but this is a play-off roster. And we're sitting at 2-6? I told you guys last season. Something was wrong. And you mocked me. Well, here we are. A tomato can team with good players and a trash coaching staff. I kept telling you guys. And you kept ignoring the facts.

Trevor is stagnant in the 1st Quarter constantly. The 1st 15 plays are scripted, and they make the offense look like garbage. I honestly can't wait till Dougie and his boy get their final check and get the heck out of Jacksonville. But we won't because of the coaching. There's talent on this team. I don't know why you guys are all hating on our players. Our players did enough to win this game. But when you have trash coaching, it's pretty hard to overcome a lazy coaching staff that is out of their element.

I think they’ve lost 3 games on the final play. It boils down to a combination of bad luck, injuries, bad strategy, and lack of execution in critical moments. While, it’s not necessarily a team of all pros, this team should not be this bad.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

This has been somewhat of a collective nightmare. Could this be some alternate reality we have been sucked into? The offensive line play has been basement level since day one. The running game has been hit or miss since day one. The defense has been hit or miss since day one. Where they were lucky in 2022 was the defense being more opportunistic with takeaways and the offense cashing in on them or at least bouncing back from their own mistakes. Where they were lucky earlier on in 2023 was the weakest portion of the schedule coupled with a healthier team overall. This team has always had issues with turnovers, self inflicted wounds, critical drops, critical fumbles, critical interceptions and critical coaching mistakes. The luck has run out for them. Started last year on Monday Night Football against the Bengals. Once Lawrence's ankle injury happened it's essentially served as this team's metaphorical "Achille's Heel". It's time for a change. It's time for a culture shock. Hopefully Khan learns this time and throws Baalke and Pederson out once they hit double digit losses.
