Lawrence is a top 10 QB in the league I think.  Every QB is inconsistent game to game,  and TLaw hasn't had a good OL or running game seemingly ever.  When he looks bad he looks REAL bad though.  He was clutch last week when we needed him to tie the game at the end,  and that was a big knock on him.  Playing on a team that shoots itself in the foot every week just sucks.  I think having players in the lineup now that still have something to prove could actually be a blessing in disguise.  I think paying Campbell was a good move,  he will be our franchise CB for a while he is definitely our best DB with Cisco being up and down.  Darby was a bad move as was this entire FA class.  Morse may have been the only positive addition.

Your 100% right that the FA moves we made have been a huge letdown. That is the thing that should cost Baalke his job. The moves we made were to bring in more experienced players who had been at successful teams and playoff experience. This was to address last seasons collapse and further develop the locker room culture. 

On paper the moves looked good for what was available and what our needs were but they have been a huge letdown. Gabe has been poor, Darbys struggled, Armstead looks done. Morse has been the only positive addition. This has really hurt us this year that the players bought in to improve us and make an impact have been a damp squib.

This has hurt us a lot more than paying Trevor and Josh.

The second he told us this we should have refused to sign him with Trayvon and Josh on the roster. But that was never gonna happen since Baalke drafted him and fell in love with his measurables years ago in San Fran. We would have been so mulch better off with a DT like C Campbell than armstead. So it’s not only Nielsen who is at fault for this armstead situation. It’s armstead and Baalke too who selfishly agreed to log jam our end position with Tackles and allowing Armstead to fill in his job description upon arrival.

But yes it’s also apparent that Nielsen has very little appreciation for good football players actually playing in football games lol. What a novel concept.

Armstead isn’t the starting DT not even now that RRH is gone. He plays DT in 3rd down package and some 2 minute. 

Ledbetter and Hamilton or sometimes Lacy.. are our DTs on early downs. He only played 23 snaps last game.

He is a mismatch inside. He can handle most guards all by himself. Outside at DE he is not quick enough, fast enough to do the same with tackles.  Our DC has his head up his  (you add the body part)
