I don't, I think Smith and Jefferson can be very, very good in the middle eventually. The problem is we didn't bring in anyone ahead of them on the depth chart to be good this year while they grow up. Baalke is a "reach for guys with huge upside" drafter and that means we regularly get guys who don't really fit (Travon) or aren't ready to play the first year (Bigsby, Maason) even if they play positions where they should contribute immediately.

We are stuck with Balkie. I say throw all rookies in there. They can’t be too much worse than who’s in front of them.

The only credit I give him is that in interviews he shoulders all blame snd never calls out players

"Darby's fine"  lol.  Has been the worst corner in the league since week 1 and it hasn't changed.

Yeah Darby is absolute garbage and a huge reason why our defense is so bad. He needs to be on the bench or cut. I’d much rather see what we have in prince than continue to trot that sfachime out there.

Darby is a step or two too slow

But you have to admit, that was a helluva throw and catch.

Darby isn't solely responsible, Savage and Cisco aren't helping him. So while he does need to be replaced, the safety play is hurting the CBs.

Armstead needs to practice up on his rock, paper, scissor game and maybe we can see him more at DT. He needs more rock imo.

Darby is right up there with Davon House and Shaq Griffin as the worst CB in Jaguars history.

Cisco was having the best season of any Safety in Jaguars history the first 5 or 6 games in 2023. No other safety in team history has taken a fall as big as Cisco. Dude fell off, but I’m hoping it’s just the defensive scheme and not his talent. He looks like an outside linebacker trying to run those wide open receivers down. Cisco has become Jarrod Wilson. Maybe they need to switch him back.

We need some help in the secondary in the offseason.

There were 1 or 2 that thought Jones was a reach late in the 3rd. Was my favorite pick and hes looking the part in year 1, hopefully he keeps it up and continues to improve
