Question ... Do you think the networks charge about the same for ads during election coverage like the Super Bowl?

Last election married men went for Trump about 58/42 and both single men and married women went trump around 54/46.  But single women went biden 70/30. And unlike men who have multiple issues of equal concerns, polling shows that for the average voting woman, abortion rights is far and away the singular issue they focus on. Take that away and even if their support drops from 70% to 60% that would kneecap the left.

Looking at rough averages of a numbers of polls, somewhere around 10% of americans thinks abortion should be illegal in all circumstances and 15-20% think it should be legal in all circumstances up to birth. Which leaves about 75% or so that are okay with abortion but with restrictions. Pretty much all of them are good with the usual exceptions health, rape, incest, etc... which means the only question is around when should be the cutoff for elective abortions. Most polling I've seen on average have that somewhere around 15 weeks.

Congress should pass a law granting 15 weeks plus the usual exceptions. Every four years, non presidential cycle, we vote if we want to move that cutoff a week or two higher or lower.  It'll never be an issue for the right unless they elect a pro lifer for president who threatens to overturn it. But they'll never get the votes for it unless they've done a good enough job swaying the electorate. Which would require a major cultural shift.

Now I don't think that'll happen because abortion is too valuable a political tool. Left desperately needs it for votes and both sides need it for fundraising. The right would lose some of the single issue pro life voters but it'd be a catastrophic loss for the left.

Even if trump wins, which I'm not confident, and especially if they lose, they need get bipartisan support and enact this.

I agree completely.  Insightful.

Hurricane said well and i concur. I just hope its an election free from controversy, tho im not holding my breath. Some states just arent interested in election integrity. Im looking at you Arizona, Nevada and California.

One other thing: i have no idea how many states have early voting, but im of the opinion that it should be a nationwide policy. For a month. And open on weekends. If you cant make it to vote in 30 days, then either you are incapacitated and cant make it in to vote in person, or you just dont care. Mail-in votes for the elderly who cant make it in, and the military out of the country, but thats it. No more mail in voting for able bodied people if you give them a month of early voting. 30 days of early voting should end the 'disenfranchised voter' issue once and for all.

With nearly 90% of the vote counted in Duval county, Donald Trump is up by only .1%. You don’t get much closer than that.

AP has called Florida for Trump, 55.8% to 43.3% for Harris.  Apparently, the rest of the State has more common sense than Duval.

It's unexpected

Looks like most of the amendments won't get 60%, which is good as they are all terribly written. Right to fish and homestead exemption inflation should pass.

They are making it tougher on us Dems.  I had to go to multiple voting sites to cast my 10 ballots this year.

Well, such small improvements aren't good enough. If you aren't crossing state lines to cheat then the System has failed.

Will Democrats learn from this and reset the party?

Probably not.

Mike Trump winning is better for your daughter. I know you do not realize it but trust me.

GOP has to get stuff done now, they can’t have two years and accomplish nothing or it’ll swing back hard left.

Border control, tax reform, and no new wars that’s the platform they have to stick to.
