Trevor Lawrence: Franchise QB (TL Discussion, Merged Threads)

Oh damn it all to hell. Feels like an injury he could play through if needed but not worth the risk with the season as it is and the Oline mostly injured.

Killing me seeing what we are doing to Trevor. Got to find a way to make things easier and not put everything on his shoulders next season.

Looks like a few will get there wish, let's see how good we look now the reason  we lose isn't playing.

Give trev as much time as he needs, we clearly aren't winning anyway. Him taking some time could do as much mental good as physical at this point, and if he does need surgery doing it now will give him maximum rehab time for next year

I don't think this would be fair to the ticket season holders. They do pay top dollar to watch "stars" perform. But I get it from a business side of things the ideal is to sit him.

Lol, dude you need to find a way to make yourself happy for a few days.

Maybe Trevor has more motivation than just money and yet again using his contract to knock him. You don't think someone else would have paid him that?

First. No idea what the bolded even means.

Second. You're ok with the HC calling out the toughness of a QB who battled injuries the entire second half of last season?

Pederson sucks.

I'm starting to think Trevor has been calling Press out behind the scenes. I mean 4 verticals in the RZ.

Would explain why Doug has turned on Trevor. Press is untouchable to Doug.

I've been saying this for a while. When Doug talks about lack of execution he means Trevor.

That also means I want to know more what the actual problem is. Is it mostly on Doug or Trevor?

I'm 100% over it with Pederson, and I don't like the weirdness with him and the QB, but he has also called out bad execution from nearly every position group at different times

Just this year I've heard him call out the front 4 on defense, call out the tackling by safeties, call out blown coverages, call out the out of position secondary players, call out the OL (not nearly often enough) call out dropped passes, whiffed blocks etc and so on

Trevor makes too many mistakes for a guy with his throwing talent, and it has to get better if he's to last beyond the out clause in his contract, but he's like #10 on our list of problems.
i.e: he's not the problem - he just needs to be more consistent and a better scheme should help him figure that out

Fix the trenches and secondary and this team can be competitive again IMO

I thought I read Trevor is shutting it down for the season.
Honestly he should go to Shad say get rid of this staff and Baalke or get me out of here.
No Fun

Rumor has it that that’s exactly what he’s doing.

Really bummed out for the kid. I hope good things are just over the horizon.

Just an epic let down of a season from top, down. Feels like watching Joe Pesci's character get beat to death in Casino.

Just want the next season to get here already. Cheers folks. We're almost there.

So we got Hicken, Campo, Dilla, and Wigg all with the info but no one can spill it yet.

See ya Doug. See ya Trent.

I mean It’s there, but I don’t think it can be THAT conspiratorial. Trevor DID get pounded by Baun. He’s not faking an injury.

I don’t think there is much more to it than that. I think Pederson really just says the wrong things all of the times without even realizing how it comes across. No way Trevor bails on the team with half the season to go. He’s not that type of leader. That’s a Ramsey move. He’s not Ramsey

I see what you squeezed in there.  It’s nice to see you finally coming around to reality.  Of course, you‘ll never admit you have changed your mind.  Rather than trying to bully away all dissent, you should have reached this point 18 months ago.

Anyways, enjoy spinning yourself silly in an attempt to prove you are never, ever, ever, ever wrong about anything.  Unfortunately, facts don’t agree with your feelings.  Still, you’ll feel better.

It's interesting how certain posters have stopped posting...  Bullies [BLEEP] around, and they have found out they were in the wrong the whole time.  I kept telling them since last year there was something wrong with this coaching.  And they attacked me for it.

I'm not happy that I was right.  But I am glad to point out that my opinions were correct.  The insults I endured last year were pretty awful.  Honestly, even during the beginning of this year, I've been insulted by NYC4jags.  I won't insult him.  But i just want everyone to know that he was wrong.  And has been wrong for 2 seasons now.
