It's interesting how certain posters have stopped posting...  Bullies [BLEEP] around, and they have found out they were in the wrong the whole time.  I kept telling them since last year there was something wrong with this coaching.  And they attacked me for it.

I'm not happy that I was right.  But I am glad to point out that my opinions were correct.  The insults I endured last year were pretty awful.  Honestly, even during the beginning of this year, I've been insulted by NYC4jags.  I won't insult him.  But i just want everyone to know that he was wrong.  And has been wrong for 2 seasons now.

People made fun of you because you ONLY blamed the coaching. Nothing else. Not players. Only coaches. Specifically Press. You almost gobbled up Doug's d*** for a while and are now finally coming to the realization that Doug is just as bad as Press is.

EDIT: Had to edit out d*** since the forum didn't do it and I'm sure NYCJAGS will warn me or some [BLEEP] for bypassing filters that don't exist.

This. Guy. Sucks.

Hopefully, there is no one left supporting this turd.

I mean, to me, it sounds like Doug basically called Trevor a [BLEEP] to the media openly over his non throwing shoulder injury. Good stuff. This ship is sinking. I'll be glad when Doug and Trent are finally shown the door. The history they had in Philadelphia and San Francisco respectively have followed them here to Jacksonville. We should have known better as a fanbase.

Doug won't throw his buddy under the bus for anything. Continues to insist the players need to execute better, which, at times, yes, that's been true, however, is that not also apart of coaching? Finding ways to get them to execute better? Finding ways to get them into a groove and out of a funk? Doug just doesn't have it anymore.

Trent has also done a good job at building up his narrative at the beginning of the year already to protect himself. When he said it's also the coaches job to develop the player's he's drafted, etc. Never mind the bad signings of Gabe Davis and Ronald Darby this off season when you let potentially better and cheaper options leave the city in Zay Jones and Darius Williams.

As well as the safety position getting worse while Rayshawn Jenkins has been decent in Seattle. The continued mismanagement of the offensive line, with durability once again for the second year in a row becoming the common issue, the common theme. Selecting two DT's between RD2 and RD4 that have not contributed much to this abysmal season. Having to wait a full year to see net returns on 2nd and 3rd RD selections, etc.

You weren't right, no matter how much you lead yourself to believe it. The plays were there, the players blew it. Time after time, the players failed to execute. Every close game this year had a different player with his [BLEEP] puckered up around his neck choking away his opportunity to be the hero. You're a fool if you think different coaching changes those plays. We're back to where we were last year, the team is soft and needs to "get bigger and stronger", but with the imminent return of the Baalke it's highly likely we're right back here next year with a different coaching staff for you to whine about. I would like a clean slate, I think Pederson is burned out by the ineptness that Baalke's personnel management is responsible for, and neither can be successful here going forward.

Pederson explained the injury, it's a non-structural injury that doesn't need surgery and pain tolerance will be the determining factor in whether or not Lawrence plays. This stuff is just more histrionics caused by a losing season to drive clicks by local slop jockeys...and their children I guess?

So we got Hicken, Campo, Dilla, and Wigg all with the info but no one can spill it yet.

See ya Doug. See ya Trent.

I mean It’s there, but I don’t think it can be THAT conspiratorial. Trevor DID get pounded by Baun. He’s not faking an injury.

I don’t think there is much more to it than that. I think Pederson really just says the wrong things all of the times without even realizing how it comes across. No way Trevor bails on the team with half the season to go. He’s not that type of leader. That’s a Ramsey move. He’s not Ramsey
He’s not faking an injury. That’s obvious.

But there is way more to this story than just “Trevor is questionable”.

An AC sprain, it that's what it is, is quite painful. Pederson's not wrong to say that it will depend on how hard Trevor and the docs think he should push it this week. They can shoot him up, put a strap on it, or they can have him sit and see if it improves enough for next week, or if he needs to sit through the bye week. Pederson is being clear that he doesn't need surgery, that should be a good thing but folks want their storylines.

So you do or you don’t believe there’s more to this story?

Do you think it’s strictly just about the AC sprain?

It still sounds like he called him a [BLEEP]. LOL. I don't care how else you want to slice it. He basically had a chuckle, a nonchalant response about how he had a similar injury with his playing career and made it sound like Lawrence not playing is due to pain tolerance, i.e, he would probably tough it out but he's a [BLEEP].

I can't stand smug Doug anymore man. I really can't. He's such an arrogant [BLEEP] and reeks of ego. This team has melted like the vanilla ice cream he covets under his watch since the 8 - 3 start from last year. Pathetic.

It definitely sounded like he was calling Trevor a [BLEEP]. Maybe Doug didn't mean it that way and just sucks at communicating. But he had a few snide remarks and insinuated that him playing or not just depends on his pain tolerance.

There have been a few unsubstantiated reports that Trevor's should injury is worse than reported and might require surgery. If this is true, my hope is that he gets this quickly to lessen the chances of long-term problems in this area. The team is not going to the playoffs, anyway, Ideally, Mac Jones would have had the opportunity to play a few weeks ago opening up the possibility of a Rob Johnson type trade had he been successful. This can't happen now that the trade deadline is over.

If the rumors are true, the best case scenario is that the Jaguars would likely win just 2 or 3 more games enabling them to possibly get a top 5 draft pick. For things to get better, Shad Khan must fire Baalke and Pederson. Otherwise, we will just get more of the same next season.

If it's a sprain the only reason he wouldn't play is pain tolerance, that's a fact. It's not being a [BLEEP] to have too much to play through, Pederson was relating how it feels based on his own experience. I didn't hear him say "only a [BLEEP] wouldn't play with this injury" like y'all seem to have.

Pederson and his lackey are the problem.  He had the chance to make something great here.  Instead, he decided to [BLEEP] all over the this team.

I called it last year.  I told you guys that things weren't right.  And you didn't listen.  At least you figured it out.  1 year later than I did.

Dude.

Pederson and press are a packages problem but not the ONLY problem. Especially last year with a bottom ranked offensive line handcuffing a lot of what they could reasonably scheme up.

You have tunnel vision. NYC just is more blunt about calling you out about it.

I stopped posting because too many people on the forum are way too dug into their opinions and analysis of the team and coaches. And the only way this team moves forward positively is when Baalke, Pederson, Press, and Nielsen are let go, and many are still worried that won't happen. Until that happens, there is little reason to guess at what can or should be done.

I've cut way back for the same reason.  The arguments go in circles.  There's very little actual engagement.  We slam each other over and over and over, and no one ever changes their opinion.  It's mostly expressions of anger and disappointment that lead nowhere and provide little pleasure.

Do you fire the guy that did little to shore up the line that got the man hurt 3 years running or do you fire the nice guy that gets all pissy passive aggressive when the man might not be up to throwing to the 3rd string RB on all verts so some nerd can feel like a big brain through the pain this time?

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
