It drives me insane when someone uses what some media head has said for justification either positively or negatively for a draftee. Make your own mind up, what Mayock thinks is as relevant as what you and I think and what you and I think is pretty freaking irreverent.

Holy crap. Finally another person who agrees with me about upside. Every qb has the upside to be a top 3 qb of they have sufficient tools. What needs to be used is the probability one player has to reach that ceiling.

I still only really listen to Waldman, norris, and Bloom. Those are the best imo.

IMO, Waldman and Norris do a really good job of supporting their opinions with video clips and to a lesser extent stats. They each make pretty compelling cases.

Agree.  He's on the Rome end of the spectrum.  Rome is who threw out intelligent reporting and debate in favor of turning every topic into smack talk sideshows.

Also you all are definitely right about McShay being the cream of the crop for ESPN/NFLN right now. Mayock has been getting worse and worse since he started doing all of his thursday night broadcasting, which is understandable as he just doesn't have the time to put in nearly as much work as other people anymore.

Teddy Bridgewater is not what you thought he was.


Most draft experts having him falling out of the first round. He could easily slide like Jimmy Clausen.


I was called every name in the book when I said he was not very good.

It's entirely possible that the Cleveland Browns have already agreed to trade up to number one just so Teddy Bridgewater can be drafted first. If you recall, they were the only(?) team to NOT attend Johnny Manziel's Pro Day workout. They are also the team that fired their head coach and GM recently. Most believe this directly relates to the old duo not wanting to draft Bridgewater.

 

You don't run those two off and not draft Bridgewater.

 

Houston will drop back and still be in a great position at four. They will likely add at least the Browns' second 1st round pick (26). 

 

The St. Louis Rams could possibly already have a trade worked out allowing them to drop back.

I'd be more inclined to believe that's a bluff than an indication of intent. Like you said, they were the only team not visiting Manziel. It isn't as though they don't have the ability to attend the Pro Day. Do they not believe he'd valuable in any round?
