Perhaps you can help me with this inconsistency. If Balke is this franchise’s poison (which I agree with you on) how can all his team composition choices be wrong EXCEPT for TL? It seems to me that we can all agree that Balke is at the very best mediocre and in fact is actually awful as a GM, both here and at SFO (who fired him and who have excelled as a franchise from almost the very minute he walked out the door). Then why do we insist on his only good decision being TL rather than accept the much more likely possibility which is that TL is just one more complete fumble by Balke?

It's nice to see how much Demeco Ryan's coaching expertise has regressed this year as Stroud throws another INT. If only he'd pressed Y instead of X that time, lol. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

He's repeatedly been sacked at a higher rate than any other QB and he has almost no run game to support him. I know you despise him, but no other QB could succeed with the absolute dumpster fire around this guy the last three years. Send him to the Jets and they're a Super Bowl contending team and Salah isn't on the unemployment line. Here he's a bust keeping a dumpster fire in games they have no business even competing in. Why is CJ having so many issues if Demeco can just snap his fingers and fix it? “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Mac Jones showed today why the Patriots didn’t want him. Dude played hero ball with David Garrard type interceptions.
14 for 22 for 111 yards and 0 TD passes. 11 of his 14 completions were to TEs and RB. Trent Edwards production.
Mac Jones will not be contributing much at all to us getting a comp pick when he signs elsewhere as the clear back up this upcoming offseason. I'm happy for him to have gotten the opportunity to start a home game for his home town team given where the season is for us right now though.

But I hope he gets the rest of the season to prove he can be a capable back up. The thing I love is that my step dad and the rest of the Lawrence haters I watched the game with finally realized that it's hard to be a franchise QB. This game proved that Lawrence is capable. We just need to get the right coaching around him to allow him to be the best he can be. |
