A law that screems cheating.

#1

The election has been pretty tame so far due, but is there anything that could/should be changed? My personal opinion is if you are going to vote by mail better be sure it gets delivered by election day. Not after. This is a loophole that could be taken advantage of. It is not that hard to change postmark dates on some machines. We just need to find a way to negate the temptation.

California law
Vote‐By‐Mail Ballots returned by mail, in order to be counted, must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by your county elections office

Sure wasn't because The GOP sued and won many cases to have representation at ballot collection sites or polling places.. Not at all..

I'm cool with a few days of voting. I'd make it mandatory for businesses to allow an employee a paid day off on one of the 3-5 days. I also want to implement voter authentication. When your vote is tabulated at the machine, you get a message of "Is this you at X location?" If Google can do it, we can do it.

Oh there was, but it wasn't enough this time to overcome the people's vote. The vote needed to be closer for that.

When Election Day ends, ballots, records, and equipment are secured and transported to election offices. There, election officials count and store ballots. Ballots must be stored for 22 months after federal elections in case they’re needed for recounts or other post-election processes.

The real key to keep votes being found is to keep watch on the election offices after they are secured for the night by independent people with cameras linked to the cloud. That way no votes can suddenly appear say maybe under a table like the last election. I am not saying that was done ... but who knows.

That's actually more hackable, not less. A human worker verifying an ID card is more reliable than anything you can pull off with no worker and smartphone.

Apparently all that is required for a free and fair election is for the Republican to win.

Why do employers have to pay an employee who isn’t at work that day?

There was very little voter fraud in 2020 either.  You do have a point.

Okay man you're clearly just here to argue... You need to have some semblance of a consistent world view and not just disagree for the sake of disagreeing...

Why? Are you worried?

If there's fraud, hopefully it will be found.

If there isn't any, then there isn't any, and none will be found. Just like in 2020.

Simple as that.
