In terms of preferring a bigger market: I just think there's some legacy points to be had in terms of taking over a large-market team.  For example, taking the Chicago Bears job and creating a team that wins the Superbowl for the first time since the legendary 1986 team would be pretty sweet.  There is simply a level of fame that comes with guiding an old school team to the big game, in the case above taking a team that was formed in 1920 to it's second Superbowl win would be pretty spectacular.

Now that doesn't necessarily apply to all coaches, but it is a reason.

So Andy Reid is missing out on something because he's in Kansas City?

Take a look at Andy and tell me he didn't go there just for the BBQ.

Not sure how he keeps the ol' soup strainer clean, that sauce gets EVERYWHERE

McCoy becomes OC and they ride out the rest of the season.

McCoy has never been an OC, but they could put McCoy in the big chair and keep Press in place. Everyone assumes that he exits with Pederson (if he's let go which is still up in the air), but it's not a guarantee. And the response would be quite entertaining.

....especially if we starting cruising up and down the field.

Pederson was supposedly offered the saints HC job and took Jax, so....

I think every single "market consideration" is very individual.

Every big name FA this team has ever signed was precluded with ppl on this very message board saying
"He'll never come to Jax ! "

...and then he did

I don't read much into that stuff.
Money talks and Khan is willing to spend.

Is there really any HC candidate who will (or would have) chosen the NO job over Duval? That's career suicide until they get out from under that revolving dead money albatross.

Yay, our job is better than career suicide! Or are we just a different means of death?

Because yeah, HE's the problem there.

Anybody who says the league caters to the big markets doesn't pay attention to the NY franchises, that is for certain.

BB as HC, Vrabel as DC, Daboll as OC.  Put the band back together again.  That would be a dream coaching staff.  Khan will spend money and he should go all out to get the best coaching we can get.  Bring in John Dorsey as GM

Based on a blowout of the Lions game? So the entire other 10 games don’t matter?

This [BLEEP] is a [BLEEP] joke to Khan.

Jim Bob Cooter.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Not with Mac at QB (he stinks) and our Defense probably isn't going to force Goff into 5 turnovers to keep us in it.

I thought the same.

That "report" is the journalistic epitome of throwing excrement against a wall in hopes it may stick.

"Based on decades of common knowledge and well known historical trends, here is a thing that may or may not happen... more at 11, now Brad has your local forecast."

I have no probs rooting for the Lions.

This team is a joke and change has to happen. I don't care if we change HC 5 times a season until we get it right. We gotta stop putting up with this [BLEEP].

Enough is a [BLEEP]-nuff

Okay, so we know that well-placed sources are saying that something might happen today, and something might happen as a result.

The Rappaport article was more confident.

It pointed out that everyone is at fault per the sources.

Aka it may be a full house clean finally

Can we bench Doug with a "strained relations" injury and have a backup coach this game?
