That [BLEEP] was funny as hell when he acted like he knew who our 2nd round pick was and we ended up taking Strange. He was tweeting how much everyone will love the pick and its the best pick so far lol. He thought it was going to be Torrence lol. He had me fooled on that one
Teams were 195-0 in NFL history when a team forces 3 turnovers the the other team doesn't score a TD. We are the first one to lose in that scenario lol. Our record breaking suckage is amazing lol

We have that, just in the total opposite. We need to realize... how almost impossible it is to be on a 62-143 run since Khan took over. It's equally impressive when you truly think about it. We are the first one to lose in that scenario lol. Our record breaking suckage is amazing lol It's really not hard to imagine what has contributed to that spectacular run. Jacksonville has and may continue to have a more challenging road than larger markets. There will always be a certain percentage of coaches and players that do not want to coach or play for our franchise if given the choice money being equal due to the nature of being a small market and the overall stigma that Jacksonville in particular has compared to other markets. That could change in time and looks to be heading in that direction, but that has absolutely contributed. The money can sometimes overcome that, but I'm convinced that Ramsey wanted out and was determined to either get massively overpaid here (unlikely) or force his way out which started with the brinks truck shenanigans. I think that plan was in the works the moment he got drafted by us. Who knows how many countless free agents over the years got a solid offer from Jacksonville only to decide to play elsewhere for non-money related reasons. I'd bet there were more that fell that way for us than for other franchises. Same deal with coaches. Embrace the forced exclusivity of our franchise indeed though. It makes the winning when it happens, rarer here than elsewhere for sure, that much sweeter. Being a fan of this team isn't for the faint of heart. If you can choose to be a fan of another team with no deep rooted emotional attachment already in place here, that would probably be a good decision, but in a weird, glutton for punishment, "give me the biggest challenge" kinda way, I kinda appreciate our circumstances and might have found my way toward this franchise even if I didn't live here. This is all before getting into the potential for officiating bias against us which could be by league office directive (there's too much money involved for the league office to want to see a consistently good Jacksonville team) or the internal biases that individual refs carry themselves. This part really sucks honestly.

We are doing some record breaking insane dynasty losing. We need to embrace this. I think this middle paragraph is something we all need to realize. It's not that Ramsey was the cancer, he was the symptom. Coughlin as the EVP was the cancer. Coughlin wanted to be the owner/GM instead of the EVP. Coughlin destroyed that 2018 roster. He thought he could bully the players into submission. And he killed the entire roster. And we had a HC that didn't have the locker room because Coughlin enforced his method onto the roster. That's why you need a guy like Boselli. An EVP should not be a hard [BLEEP] jerk store piece of [BLEEP]. You need someone that loves the city, loves the franchise, and wants to empower the GM and HC to build the roster they want. (edit to make sure that I'm not side-stepping the profanity filiters) (11-12-2024, 08:04 PM)carp8dm Wrote:(11-12-2024, 05:40 PM)Jaguarmeister Wrote: It's really not hard to imagine what has contributed to that spectacular run. They need to leave that stuff to the coaches. Boselli is also very likely woefully unqualified to hold and executive level position in the NFL. The dude frequently changes his mind about a stance he took adamantly tens minutes prior on the radio - just because JP Shadrick fed him one line of information he should have already known. That's the kind of guy you want making staff hires and overseeing the GM of your football team? Nah... I love the guy, but he's not the right fit. Assistant OL coach, maybe. I could see that. From Ramsey's perspective, Coughlin was Caldwell's boss and Ramsey had more regular interaction with Caldwell. Maybe whatever Caldwell did to piss Ramsey off was Coughlin's direct orders, but probably not. Regardless, from my perspective, if anyone other than a coach is trying to correct the way a player behaves on the field, something has gone terribly wrong.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

It didn't take Houston long to become a desirable location. They hired DeMeco and drafted Stroud/Anderson, won the division, and beat the Browns in their first playoff game. The next year they were able to get Danielle Hunter who took a smaller contract to play for the Texans, and Stefon Diggs decided he wanted to play with CJ Stroud (after meeting him in the probowl) and put pressure on the Bills to trade him to the Texans.
